He's definitely better as CM (DM ) than CAM imo
Even for this reason I don't get the comparison with Ozil. Two different players imo.

Disagreed, I think Fabregas is better further forward where he isn't messing up the midfield/failing to cover up the defense with his nonexistent defensive skills. Plus, his production is just as good up there as it is further back. He doesn't provide enough as an orchestrator/circulator or positionally in midfield for me to think he's more valuable there, or at least to justify his defensive ability.

Disagree as well. Cesc is not a CM and is one of the main reasons City overloaded CHelsea in mf yesterday. He just doesn't have the tactical nous to play a CM. He should e further up the field. Chelsea need another CM tbh.

Doesn't change the fact that Fabregas has never been as exemplary as he was under Wenger, despite playing for managers who are largely thought to be tactically far ahead of old man Arsene.
