Re: Assesing our Attack
I am really anxious about getting Diego Costa. I think that if we get Costa, Courtois will still be loaned to AM for another year. If we keep Courtois, we won't get Costa.
If we have a better option on getting a "top class" striker, we should consider that.

I don't think so, Atleti are not in the best shape financially, if we come in with a big enough offer, they will accept. Regardless of Courtois, as they need the money.
Also, the only other name being thrown around who could be available is Mandzukic, who, imo, isn't as good as Costa.
Ibra, Cavani, Aguero, Lewandowski, Benzema are all unrealistic.
Falcao is injured long term and a big gamble now imo.
Costa is better than the likes of Dzeko, Negredo, Gomez, and any other players like that.
Suarez wouldn't last a night if he joined, Bran would eat him alive (pun intended)

Re: Assesing our Attack
So since January 2013, Lukaku has scored more goals on loan than every striker we've had since then has, COMBINED.

I was speaking in regards to the past 2 windows, as Nedved alluded to.
Now is obviously a different story.

Re: Assesing our Attack
brb Costa won't score.
brb Costa is only there to provide midfielders space.
brb Costa is an average striker like Fred.
Oh wait...

Re: Assesing our Attack
Mourinho confirms we'll be going back into the market for a new striker:
-
— via the Guardian
-
-“We thought the market was closed for us but, if Nando opened that market, we would have to go into it again. We would try to make the best possible deal.”
“We’ll react by buying a foreign striker because I don’t see an English striker in the market that would come to us, or where his club would let him. If we lose a foreign striker, we need another foreign striker.”
