History will repeat itself...

In 1990 Juventus secured the services of a 23 year old Italian from Fiorentina for a then world record transfer fee of $10 million. At the time Fiorentina was on the rise, having reached the final of the UEFA Cup, eventually losing to Juventus.

At the time of the transfer there were riots in the streets, as the Viola fans angrily protested the sale of their star player. Afterall, this soon to be Juventino had played for the Viola for 5 years and had become the symbol of the club.

When the star Viola player transferred to Juventus he quickly inherited the number 10 jersey, the sacred number 10 that was worn by legends past. Eventually this player went on to become a future Ballon d'Or winner and became the greatest Italian player ever.

23 year old Stevan Jovetic has been playing for Fiorentina for the past 5 years. He is a symbol of the club and their star player, a true number 10 who likes to play in behind the strikers and use his creativity to feed his teammates. Jovetic has led the Viola to a Europa League qualification, just falling short on a Champions League spot. Fiorentina is definitely a team on the rise.

So, will history repeat itself in the summer of 2013? 23 years ago a 23 year old Roberto Baggio was sold to Juventus from Fiorentina. Will Stevan Jovetic's future follow in the same path as the legendary Roberto Baggio, and will he take over the sacred number 10 and become the next fantasista of Juventus?

If I was a betting man I would be all in on this one. Yes, oh yes, mark my words, Stevan Jovetic will be our next number 10...

Not a fan of Jovetic. He's overrated, and I personally think and 100% Vucinic is definitely better than him.

Either way, he shouldn't be mentioned in the same book as Baggio, much less the same sentence.

For me Jovetic is same player as ADP he reminds of him in terms of class and talent so I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIM
