Re: Witcher 3
I honestly think Dragon Age took a lot from ASOIAF. Grey Wardens = Nights Watch, completely identical.

Re: Witcher 3
Yeah Dragon Age Inquisition takes a lot of cues from GoT, from that throne in the Skyhold to Inquisitor referring to political intrigue as playing the Game.

Dragon Age or Witcher?
I will start playing Dragon Age tomorrow, I bought it a few weeks back. After that hopefully my friend will be done with Witcher and I'll take it from him.

How large is the world of Witcher 3 compared to Dragon Age Inquisition?

It's hard to quantify the size of DAI since it's a collection of smaller maps (around ten) instead of one big map. i haven't played Witcher 3 yet but i'm pretty sure it's bigger than all those small maps combined.
btw this is Dragon Age's world called Thedas:

Skyrim is said to be bigger, and Witcher 3 is 3 times as big as Skyrim.

Re: Witcher 3
Never played Dragon Age but I'm going to guess it's bigger lol.
The two main areas equal over 130 square km.
For comparison purposes Skyrim is 40 something.

Just spent 20 minutes or so fighting a Golum with a red name Finally beat it and it felt like a huge achievement.

Re: Witcher 3
Quen is the best sign by far lol, used it almost exclusively by the end. Well I did combine it with Yrden traps and Igni depending on the opponent.
Didn't use the healing one though, i don't like it as it leaves you open. I used the Discharge one as reflects damage back to them and I could usually afford a couple of hits till it breaks which by then it usually had regenerated.

Re: Witcher 3
just wrecked the lvl 35 Griffin that kept destroying me after I hit lvl 31 and upgraded to all mastercrafted feline gear
think I'm edging closer to the climax now, genuinely don't want to finish this game, I'm in love with the world of the witcher and it's characters

Finished it. GOAT game of the generation so far and one of my favorite of all time. So much content and yet it never felt boring, not once.

Re: Witcher 3
- Spoiler:
- My favorite battle was still the one at Kaer Morhen. I definitely regret playing on the easiest difficulty (although I could still enjoy the story which was great, unlike most long ass RPG's that usually end up falling apart at some point) The entire last battle was anti-climactic because I was just wrecking the bosses. Did enjoy the set pieces when everything was going insane after defeating Eredin
wish I could have beat up that POS emperor at some point, enjoyed killing Radovid in the side quest
characters in this game are GOAT
Lambert
Yen
the only thing I regret is killing Keira in her side quest, seems she would have played a decent role in all of the ally battles towards the end since they kept referencing her

Re: Witcher 3
Really hope the game creators change their tune on their comments that the series will continue but this would conclude Geralts story. Although I do think it was a good way to end his story. I can't imagine playing another game without him. Geralt is GOAT.
wouldn't mind a Lambert Witcher game
seems like with all of the Ciri segments they're testing the fan reaction and might make a game with her as the main character at some point. Either way I'll be there day 1. Probably 5 years from now ffs.
Wasn't a huge fan of TW2 but this was an 11/10

Re: Witcher 3
Oh that's right I forgot you played on Easy
- Spoiler:
- The Eredin fight was *bleep* awesome to me even on normal, it was full of dodging and countering each other lol. As I said before it was like taking part in a choreographed movie scene.
Lambert is fantastic lol, he's an asshole but the kind of asshole we all need in our lives lol. Asking them questions about Triss when Yen is right there

Re: Witcher 3
I have decided on my 2nd playthrough that as great as all the Velen stuff is ( bloody baron, crones etc) it feels like s*** compared to Novigrad and Skellige because of how f***ing fantastic they are. Not so much from a world point of view (although that's great too) But because the story really explodes at that point from a decision making and character development point of view.
