Just like your family name and your nationality, you don't get to pick your football team. True football supporters know that.

Changing football teams is a sin where i come from, and one where redemption is non existent. There is no comeback for "but didn't you change football teams?" (i'm exaggerating a bit but overall that is the sentiment). Professional players have a bit more slack since it's their job, i suppose.

For most mortals, once you are born, you have a couple of years during which you are at the mercy of your family (father, mother, brothers and uncles tend to decide for you) and to a lesser extent, your neighborhood. In my case it was my mother.

I kinda like it that way tbh.
