Believe that's what Mourinho himself said after the Soton defeat. Nothing keeping him from reneging on it though I suppose, especially with 2 intervening weeks to think about it.

Ivanovic has been sent home from National team duty. I doubt he'll feature against Villa.

Matic has not, though, so he could still play.

There are reports around that Ivanovic's hamstring will take 1 month to recover, and the Guardian are reporting that Zouma will play RB in his absence.

Zouma has been withdrawn from France U-21 due to an unnamed injury. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Elsewhere, Courtois's injury rehab is coming along well and he could feature before mid December.

The Mail are reporting that Ivanovic will be out for 3 weeks with a dislocated Shoulder.
