Udinese is a disgrace. Can't believe they lost to that pub team from nowhere.

Frankly, VfB Stuttgart were even worse (they account for two of the draws and the loss)  

Fantastic thread, will be checking in on this.

Dont know why I feel like defending Udinese a little, but they were a bit unlucky in this. Playing in a borrowed stadium while they rebuild the Friuli, they hit the crossbar 3 times, a lot of good chances, miracle they only scored 1. Liberec scoring 2 lucky goals all the way up in the left corner. You dont see small teams scoring 2 goals like that in one game too often lol. Still, it is what it is.  Udinese pissing on the co-efficients as usual.

Serie A and Ligue 1 will always be at a bit of a disadvantage in these things... other than the elite clubs, nobody can afford an extended squad. It's basically the starting XI and then kids as backups. So Europa is pretty much ignored because they need to keep their top players healthy and fresh for the league.

If Lyon get bumped to Europa, then they could do well because they have a big enough squad. But i have zero hope for Nice and St Etienne. It's actually better for them to get eliminated from Europa tbh.

Sad but true.

You'd expect the EPL & La Liga to pull away from the rest as the season goes on.

Reasons are that they probably have more strength in depth than Bundesliga and the Serie A sides could'nt give 2 f**** about the Europa, which will hamper them.

Why on earth did UEFA not implement the "winners get a CL spot" rule this season?

Ligue 1 need to start getting some points.

I dont think there are 6 Ligue 1 teams in Europe now.With Lyon out,its been reduced to 5.

Bundesliga up to 3rd after awful week for Serie A.

EPL moving closer & closer to La Liga!

Bundesliga clear in third place.

This doesn't really mean anything until you get into elimination rounds... just need to get a min of 4 teams through and then you see what's up.

For Ligue 1... OM got a really bad break with that group. If you finish 3rd, you go to Europa at least. But with Arsenal, Dortmund and Napoli, no chance. PSG will go far in CL an carry a lot of points. Bordeaux and Lyon are bottom have of the table this year in Ligue 1... expect nothing from them. Bad year overall because the better teams are not in Europe. OM will get better next year (very young) and with Monaco + PSG, i'm not all that worried going forward.

Come on Juve, need some Conte mentality for the remaining games
