Reputation system poll.

So as you all know, I've been proposing some changes to the ever-controversial reputation system. Before I make those changes, I just want to know where everyone is on this in general.

Very simple. Please vote for one of the above choices.

Ideally, I'd like a vote from everyone - members, mods and even Admins.

I still think that you should be able to rep even if your rep is under 0. Once you go minus you can't rep anymore. It's annoying.

Replace it with the Thanks button.

You probably should be able to rep even if you've got a negative rep.

I think the system is fine. Most of the time positive rep seems to be given when someone has made a good post and that's how it should work.

When you post something you in another club's section that they don't like, then rather than arguing they give you a total of -40 reps .. I don't venture in other sections as much now...

Replace with Kudos.

I voted , don't care coz I really dont . any, it's a bit funny rp.sys.i guess and people mustn'f feel bad if they get (- ) ,that would be RIDICULOUS really.
Asloo i guess that all members on here are not obliged to give a + to each other many times per day( i didn't say about (-) in this case:lol: ! coz we are so many on here ...soo...make it more easy n simple 4 example !give a + to The boss ..that's it ... LOOOOOOL

i'd really appreciate if there was a way to find out who gives you rep but if that's not possible, i guess this is good enough... every rep system is going to be abused with gangs of fanboys up/downvoting each other so it's not that different...

I voted I don't care, because I don't care but what che said with the finding out who gives you rep (or which post) would be cool.

IMO all that needs to be changed is that you should be able to see which of you're comments you receive + or - rep for, by doing this u can see which of youre posts are received postively and which are received negatively and still you dont have to publish the names of who gave u + or - rep so the anonymity factor remains the same

No, its because ur on negative rep, your not able to see it nor vote it when ur on negative.

I swear some here act like children about it though. Other than that the rep system's Ok.

Idea: People only able to give positive rep.

Now it seems that occasionally someone gets targeted by uncalled for negative reputations. I think it'd be fine if you're able to up-rep the posts you want and not down-rep anything. That's what I do anyway.

I'm gonna keep this poll up till Friday and then I will enact the changes to the system. I'm sure you guys will like them.

I'm all right with the reputation system, but there are too many people abusing it...

I'm suggesting that you limit how many times you can rep per month if it's possible... For example, you can only give 10 reps/month or something like that.

I actually have it set to 10 reps per day, and while it's cut down on the abuse some....still doesn't seem like enough.

We should get a notice in the statistics where our comments that got reps are.

The only problem is crowding on a single person, which is really abusing the system. Perhaps this could be solved by applying a limit of, say, 10/20/30 negative reps per day on a single user?

lol i got 15 negative reps yesterday within two minutes, and i wasnt trolling anybody or anything.. i think some people are just having fun with it.. it gets a little annoying. but then again who'll listen to me when i have -23 rep lol..... i like the positive thing better, like the old kudos system, it motivates people to be nicer and to post nice, intelligent things..
this negative rep creates conflicts..
