dont get me wrong, Brazil and Argentina are struggling themselves, but in no way talent alone will make them survive this.
The work rate, commitment and discipline some of those teams are showing is fantastic. No free ride, no parking the bus, they press high, they dont tire, and they attack while keeping form.
great stuff.

Brazil and Argentina lack tactical discipline, in Brazil's first game, it appeared as if every forward in the team had a free role in the game. Argentina faces a similar problem, they play more as individuals than a team.
The other South American teams are more European-like in their approach to the game, with well defined roles for every player on the pitch, and that gives them an advantage over the more talented but tactically inept Brazil and Argentina.

If European players came to play here in South America, they would play much worser for their National Teams. Brazilian and Argentinean players that plays in Europe lose their chemistry with the team. For example: Germany has 90% of the team composed of players that plays in German League, they know each other MUCH better, just like Spain, where 70% of the team plays at the same club, Barcelona. Their chemistry is unmatched. With Brazil is different, one player plays in Spain, the other plays in Italy, the other in England, the other in Ukraine, etc...

If that were the case then SA teams would never perform well. Also lol at 'SA play the European way' when they could kick the European way's ass with their style...

Elmystique's right actually. Copa America has been giving me that European vibe since the first game. They more Tactical now then they used to. Back then it was just the combination of grit and/or flair now it's just more Tactical than anything else. The amount of Draws and minimal wins speaks for itself.
