seriously the second best player in our team plays for Norwich lmao. Our cbs play for Genoa, Bologna or some other serie a scrub team and have about 10 international caps between them. What makes our team good though is the work rate of everyone.

Are all comparable to the players you named.

They are good mate. Dont underestimate your nation. Just because they dont have players who ride the bench for the more fashionable sides in Europe does not mean they are less than.

This is a pretty equal match up.

Portugal v Sweden is being a very fine game, 0 - 0 at half-time with Portugal looking likelier to score. Btw, for a Finn this is a pretty awful feeling, watching sports and being on Sweden's side...

Ronaldo continuing his streak of doing f*ck all in these qualifiers. Totally anonymous thus far for a man in his form.

Why did they let some God awful high school band practice during the Portugal x Sweden game? That was painful.

1-0 at home is great result for Portugal, its very difficult for Sweden to turn this around and win by 2 goals!
Sweden will have to play more open and will leave spaces for CR Nani etc and they'll concede for sure.

Sweden need a minimum of 3 goals to qualify (3-1 or 4-2) which probably won't happen.

France and Romania are out, Iceland/Croatia only game not decided yet!

I think Sweden can put 2 away on Portugal and hold on for life. Especially this Sweden team that has already overcome huge obstacles already this WCQ campaign.

They're playing at home, so I expect a different Sweden to come out next week.

Portugal have this tendency to do things in their own sweet time. They always leave it till late to qualify.
Its only when the shit hits the fan, that the big guns are even arsed to make an effort.... which is great for the neutrals, but fuhkin nerve wreckin for us followers No
Just once i'd like to know what it feels like to qualify for the tournament proper well in advance :coffee:

I think its gonna be 1-1 in sweden next week. The commanders got this Molenation

Uruguay
Mexico
Ghana

are pretty much through

As for the other 5 spots I'd also say Greece and Ukraine pretty much have one foot through the door.

3 matches are still in the balance though.

I agree with you on Greece, but I think Ukraine still don't have any foot in the door. France will be playing with intensity at home and there's nothing more dangerous than a wounded France and Ribery in their own stadium. All it takes is an early goal for France to turn the 2-0 scoreline around in their favor.

In the Confederations Cup, Nigeria finished below Spain and Uruguay. Tough group imo. Nigeria 1 - 2 Uruguay

This time around Nigeria has super-witches in place along with an inspired and focused President Goodluck Jonathan. No doubt Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Chief Mike Adenuga will play a big role as well in terms of financial compensation. Goat team.

Uruguay was in its worst form at that moment.. lol no amount of wugu will make me believe Nigeria is posed for a 2nd round progression unless they land in a very easy group which looks unlikely.

Uruguay in its worst form? Semi-final: Brazil 2-1 Uruguay. Big Loss with Julio Cesar man of the match Laughing

But yea, hopefully Nigeria don't progress. :coffee:
