Are SuperCups meaningless?

Fx Barcelona won the CL this season, and Porto won the Uefa Cup. so if Porto wins the SuperCup it's still Barca who are the best. I think they have no value, and is totally waste of time (for the teams, not the foreign fans, coz they get a chance to see 2 winning teams play)

i think it will be quite fun to watch porto play against barca, if porto win it will raise their profile and give them confidence to go and do well in the cl.

supercup is quite useful.....
