When did Robben play bad? The first half of the season when he got chances he still played very well, but Heynkes favored Kroos and Muller. Then Kroos got injured and Robben was arguably Bayerns best player and the best player in the whole CL in the CL Quarters, Semis, and Final.

Messi was INJURED against Bayern (he shouldn't have played the 1st leg) Messi only ran 6KM in that game (he's average is 9/game), plus he missed the 2nd leg. Please can you tell me what did Cristiano do vs Dortmund? eh?

A player who's considered the best (in your opinion) couldn't even lead his country to the world, while facing average Nts like North Ireland, Azrebijian (?), Luxemburg, Israel. only 4 goals against these teams (failed to score in 5 games)!

People always criticize Messi for not performing while playing with Argentina.
He lead his country to the World Cup this time, Argentina finished 1st in SA qualifiers thanks to Messi's 10 goals and 5 assists!

Since Ribery is going to win it, this whole conversation is going to be pretty funny to remember later...

Ribery deserves to win it but Messi is going to win.

Messi has been the best by far, can't believe anyone picking Ronaldo tbh. Would choose Messi before him, any day of the week.

I won't go into a discussion who deserves to win it, but Messi is going to win it. However, I don't think there will be a big margin between 1st place and 2nd place this year.

And yet again people who probably only watched Bayern in a couple of CL games and not all year...  have no idea what Ribery means to them and how he sets the tone.  In fact, why do you think Robben was left mostly alone on the other side in some CL games where he only had one man to get by?

Anyhow, it's fine.  Plenty of people who are much better placed in the footy world have hinted that Ribery is going to win it unless he flops to finish the year...

According to the Uefa site Messi ran 7.4km in the Bayern game which was 10% MORE than he ran in the other CL games. So I'm not sure it was due to the injury he played bad, or if he struggles when he's up against better teams.

Who are these people then? Everything a coach or team captain gets asked who is the best player in the world they respond with Messi. Sources please.
