He's growing up. Was only a teen when he signed with us, a chubby one. Now he's built though.

GET INNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
Don't know what it is about him, probably his hubristic swagger on the ball, but part of me will always love him, through all the dumb things he says and does, I really hope he continues to be useful.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Team news: Who is fit to face Villa?
On Theo
He has surgery and then it’s rehab. You know that it is six months and that you hope it all goes well. The only thing I can say is it's very sad news for us and above all for him.
on Oxlade-Chamberlain being back…
It is unbelievable because he played the first game of the season, against Aston Villa, and now he is back and available and it is against Aston Villa again. That makes it five months where has been completely out, so that means he is fresh and that should give us a boost.
on Ramsey and Gibbs...
Ramsey and Gibbs are very close. There is a small possibility that both of them could be available on Monday.
on Giroud and Ozil...
They had a good training session yesterday and today they had no problem. They could be back.
on Bendtner…
Bendtner, you count three weeks from now until he is back in training.
on Vermaelen…
Vermaelen had a little knee problem so he had to come off against Tottenham. He could be short for Monday but there's still a chance. But everybody else should be alright.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
So Bendtner needs three weeks to be in training. Thought it was ten days and he'd be in the squad.

Great news on Chambo, Gibbs and Ramsey!
Bentdner is still atleast a month away and comes back after the transfer window - Wenger will most probably keep an eye on the situation of his main targets but sign no one in the end.

Don't think it's necessary to play Ramsey against Villa. We should give him more rest time.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Got this from Sam on Twitter: Wenger was asked about Scottish surgeon who claimed Walcott could be fit in 4 months, AW said Arsenal inquired but it turns out that the method in discussion had never been proved on a footballer.

"Wenger also admitted that he fears Abou Diaby will not return to full fitness before the end of the season but is confident that Tomas Rosicky will sign another one-year extension to his contract."

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
this diaby situation is weird, if i remember correctly did we give him a contract extension a year ago? diaby simply doesnt have the body to be a footballer anymore, needs to retire.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Monreal could have a broken metatarsal, Rosicky could have a broken nose.
Gibbs comes back, Monreal gets injured. Chamberlain comes back, Rosicky gets injured.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
NO.
We need Nacho, we saw how vital it is to have all available fullbacks at the beginning of the season, and how long do broken nose injuries usually keep a player out?

Annual Arsenal Injury Merry-go-round.
Btw, Ox came back for Theo. Ramsey comes back for Rosicky.
Poldi/Giroud/Bendtner taking turns.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Rosicky has broken nose, but could still play if he wears a protective mask.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
From Arsenal.com
on Theo Walcott’s surgery…
It went very well. The damage was real in the knee so he will have to take the needed time, so let’s not be hopeful that he will go to the World Cup - that is not possible. But overall his long-term future is very positive. It's about being fit for next season now.
on Monreal and Rosicky…
Monreal looks a doubt for Saturday, a big doubt, because he twisted his foot on the kick. It is not the bruise, he turned and twisted the ligament. Rosicky had surgery with a general anaesthetic for a broken nose in two places. With a mask he may be available, but we have to monitor it closely.
on Arteta (calf), Vermaelen (knee) and Ramsey (thigh)…
Ramsey and Arteta are both out for this game. Vermaelen too. I personally believe the three will miss the Coventry game as well and will be available after that.
on Bendtner (ankle)…
He has a little chance to make Coventry. But in all probability it will be after that.
