Lukaku had no time "adapting to a new country" at 19. He's a nice option to bring off the bench to "change games" but that's about it. No sane coach will rely on a low IQ player like this guy. Even the goal was somewhat fortunate, on another day Gibbs would have ignored Coleman's run and just closed the wanker down.

Anyway, Everton is his level his career will follow the path of SWP, Pedro Leon, Reyes, Harry Kewell etc.

I am not so familiar with Lukaku's situation, but wasn't he on the bench for an entire season at Chelsea before being loan out?

He's 19, and its his first year at the club. The transition is not going to be immediate.. plus he hasn't been anything short of good performances everytime I've seen him play.

That was like 7 months ago! What could have changed in such a short space of time? I mean, he can still look like Messi. Just look at him against stoke! He destroyed them(Goat defensive team in the history of of football, according to some Laughing

) with his dribbling and runs. And he still has the same pro's and con's. Almost nothing has changed in these past 7 months, apart from the fact that he has improved on his work rate.

I was obviously busy watching Yanited getting destroyed, but from the Toffee fans:

Gerry played a massive part in all three goals tonight. That chest off to Barkley for the first was absolutely perfect. Hard to believe that there's even more to come from him because he still had lots he could've improved on.

gerry. was a terror on the right and was triple teamed at times and still got crosses in. did well defensively as well which was nice to see. ross had a nice night as well, passing well, scoring, and defending nicely too. osman was great too. but gerry was MOTM by far.

gerry all day! finally hes looking up and passing! He's going to be a beast for barca! hopefully we can lend him for another season. If we can he will be a big big player for us!
