That was a pretty good first-half. Some better chances would be nice, but they're sitting so deep it's hard to break that bus down. Just need to score a second to guarantee the points.

That goal is the only thing that makes the difference and is not a true reflection of the first half...hoping for a better second half

his shot is improving btw also the way he uses the ball...it was a brilliant decision to send him on the right

Sterling's finishing needs a lot of work but he played well. Needs to make better decisions with the ball also. But running in behind the defense numerously

Sterling should've had a hat trick ffs. His finishing is terrible for a professional footballer. But like I said he did play well.

Showing why you need to keep faith with Sterling. Opportunity to play a weaker opposition at home and performing well against them is exactly what helps youngsters like him develop. When they see they can do that against a weaker opposition, they will get the confidence to do it against top class opposition.

All in all a good performance, we were in control from beginning till the end. Got a bit lucky with a couple of the goals, but on the other hand unlucky with their only goal.

Suarez, Sterling and Henderson our best players, imo.

Mate last season his finishing was good, even suarez has had horrible misses today
He will improve game by game. I liked that BR has asked him this time to make those runs which he didnt make in the last game. He made plenty and it worked.

did anyone see that Hendo and both Allen did better in the final third compared their normal wastage. Also I think Allen played more forward passes today, good interceptions, good positioning, just lost the ball once under pressure. It was good to see.
Hendo's touch today did look better, if he can improve that a bit more he will be a good player for us in the future.

I wasn't impressed by Allen still, but Henderson was fantastic. That's what a box-to-box performance should look like! Solid at both ends.

Are you kidding me Art, this was Allen's best performance since his first 3 months here with us.

Btw our 2nd goal was awarded to Sakho. So Sakho has his first goal for us

The first 2 goals we scored was because of Allen.

He also distributed the ball to Johnson for the 3rd goal.

So he played a role in 3 of our goals. Very good game, and he'll be vital at WHL next week.

Both Allen and Henderson needs more games (in right positions) and as I have said before, Raheem must be sent to loan.

With enough games, all three will be immense for us. Otherwise they will actually regress.

Allen needs to find some consistency if Gerrard is out. He's only really time to shine. He played the same position at Swansea (DLP) so I'm confident he can do well.
