Melo for Blake trade talks starting up.. If I'm the Clippers I pull the trigger immediately, Melo is a player that can get them over that hump

Parker dont play for the Clippers   

Those rumours have been around for a while now.... Stephen A Smith mentioned it in passing about a month ago.

DeAndre would have to start averaging 20 boards a game

I can see why it works, but i'm not sure..... another effort guy who scores up there with anyone in the league to go with CP3, Jordan, Dudley and Redick when he's fit sounds ideal.

But Blake has improved a lot IMO and against teams that play big you lose a lot in regards to size and keeping teams from banging you down low.... Offensively i see no issues but defensively you lose quite a bit IMO.

As for the Knicks, i would do it tbh. Yes Melo is their main guy and scores close to 30 most of the time as well as some key boards to go along with it, but Knicks don't have a problem with scoring really their entire team can score and Griffin scores a lot to begin with.

So that's not an issue here and Griffin gives them a better presence down low with Chandler and better ability to win boards for either 2nd chance points or just boxing people out.

It gives them a better balanced look and their team dynamic probably works better but the biggest point probably is they can't allow him to go for nothing.

I think both teams should do it, could be one of those rare trades which work that way.

I think it will however increase the importance on the Clippers getting another back up big man. They want one I believe, but they would outright need one without Griffin.

If they get their hands on another big man even if its just an effort guy then i'd say i'd agree on working for both teams.

I see why it tick most of the boxes for Clippers. But there's just something in the back of my mind, about them facing a team who are dominate inside in the post season and where the problems could arise.

you are right, spurs or blazers could become harder match ups for them

Anyways yes the Clippers will lose a bit down lo defensively and maybe a little bit offensively down there, but they gain so much more.. I don't think teams have to stress too much about Blake to be honest, does he ever get double teamed? Melo on the other hand you have to prepare for.. One of the greatest scorers in NBA history, he will give their shooters more room to operate since off ball defenders will have to be ready to help if need be

Then there's the clutch factor, now you got two players who can take over in the clutch to pull your team to a win in a tight playoff games..

I'm a fan of Blake and he's a very good player, but he doesn't give you more than Melo does right now.. The Clippers, as well as CP3, need to win right now

Of course I don't want this trade to happen for Miami's sake .. But the prospect of finally seeing LeBron vs Melo in the Finals which was 'supposed to happen' when they entered the league together, is too mouth watering

Besides there's nothing inevitable about it..... last year was lucky its not like Miami have been sweeping all before them.... both the Eastern and NBA finals went to 7 games ffs.

This isn't an MJ thing where pretty much all the finals were comfortable and didn't even go 7 games and teams were scared of him.

They are still favourites obviously but a 3 peat is never inevitable especially when you don't even win your 2nd without a massive bit of luck.

If this was Chicago and MJ rolling through i'd agree with you but Miami have clear weaknesses which have been exploited for over a year now.

That Wade excuse needs to stop Wade did this to himself, he's never ever getting healthy, so that excuse is invalid. Pacers are also favourites in the east atm imo, can't see the Heat beating them. Unless the role players starts to hit 60% of their 3s as per usual in the playoffs.

It doesn't surprise though, when i watch him play he doesn't really seem to move really quickly without the ball.

Also is it me or is Ginobli playing really well this season? every time i watch Spurs this season he seems to play well.

Clippers really struggling without CP3 at the moment against Spurs, down 22 points with still over 7 mins left in the 2nd quarter.

How did he do it to himself? Are you talking about the meniscus removal? I doubt he made that decision all by himself

The Heat play better when they're underdogs, I don't mind the Pacers being the 'favorites'.. Basketball isn't played solely under the rim where the Pacers have the advantage, there's over 100 more feet of court to play on and also 3 PTS>2 PTS

Yeah, I posted that Harden stat. Guys just lazy. Half that 2.9 is probably from his flops.

Someone on another forum said well LeBron is only at 3.0. Yeah and LeBron is 28 and obviously just cruising until the playoffs, not even close to comparable.

He's not injured, it's Wade's decision to sit out every other game...

And yeah, Manu is straight Ballin'. Turns out, he isnt finished like I said, he simply got the summer off the Argentine NT for once in over a decade.

Still gotta see what he has in the playoffs.

He sits out as a precaution though, less stress on his knees.. If I'm not mistaken, he played a back to back this season and it started swelling up

Wade has a playing style, that is really reckless on the knees. That combines with the meniscus removal, could have been provided with a change in style of play. Anyways, injuries are always are lousy excuse, don't care for it one bit. It's always happens to every team, at some point.

It's not really an excuse, just stating something I believe.. They've won the past 2 championships with him battling injuries, I'm just saying if he didn't have knee problems they would win A LOT of championships

Make every team healthy, Bulls, Brooklyn, whoever you want.. Miami would be better
