You know why I find this funny? And why it proves that our coaching staff like to under-sell us to the Media?

Rewind 2 weeks. All Juve management agreed that 6 strikers is too many and for that reason 'One or two' must be sold to make room

*Flashback over, present day*

"We were FORCED to sell Matri." Ok then Laughing

Yeah, the management is too used to playing the 'underdog' card to the Media it would seem.

Only explination really. One striker had to go. And we sold a bench striker. Never got forced into anything Laughing

Ciro Ferrara :

Conte is playing everyone especially the media

they all say we are favorites, we made the squad even stronger and have no competition and Conte was denying it saying we lost 2 important players, are starting from zero again, we don't have the money to make big purchases and all the other clubs have made there squads much stronger

The club wont sell a player without the OK from Conte

Conte said no to the sale of certain players and the club agreed and turned down big money

Conte asked for 4 players and so far has gotten 3

The only thing that he is a little pissed about is that Matri was sold and not Quag (so far)

the media will blow it up as per usual with it involving Juve but what Conte said was all planed and he knew what he was doing

Tbh Matri is a player we need until Pazzo comes back, but then what.

Back to the "poor poor Juve and Italy in financial ruins yada yada"; soon we will see Conte crying over meeting Ståle Solbakken and FC.København in the CL, who actually sold 8 of their best players since they met Barcelona last time lol.

Saying Juve is a car and Real is a tank, ffs Conte rofl

Interesting fact :

Tevez + Llorente + Ogbonna = 22 mil €
Giaccherini + Melo + Matri = 22 mil €

Hey Juventinos.... I'm really as mad as Conte right now. Don't you understand that the board is not listening to Conte? He has problems with Quagliarella and wants to sell him.. What to do they do? Sell Matri
2. Conte wants a WC forward in January like Drogba. Marrota gets Anelka
3. Conte didn't want Lucio...
4. Conte did not want to sell Giach.
Conte said in the interview that Matri has a good relationship with him.
Now, don't be surprised if he leaves next season...
I am fukin serious here...

- Mr. Antonio Conte | Former Coach 2011-2014 - - Page 2 Empty Conte: 'Inter and Juve are strong/ Llorente needs time I won't play him to make you happy'

Post by DeviAngel Sat Sep 14, 2013 11:39 pm

Antonio Conte believes the Derby d’Italia draw showed Inter and Juventus can fight for the Scudetto this term.

“We confirmed today that Inter can target the top of the table this season, while Juventus are very tough to beat,” he told Sky Sport Italia after a 1-1 draw.

“I saw my team play very well in a difficult arena against a side that has everything to compete right to the end, as they don’t have European commitments and therefore will have better fitness levels.

“What I liked best was the effort and desire to do well. We went a goal down, but reacted with anger and could’ve gone 2-1 up straight after.

“At the start of the second half we should’ve kept more alert and concentrated, though it was tough after so many had been on international duty and some of them paid the consequences.”

Stephan Lichtsteiner was substituted at half-time after risking a second yellow card.

“Stephan had received a booking and he ran a risk with a challenge when all the Inter players ran over to the referee asking he be sent off. With my experience as a player, I know that in these cases the referee is just waiting for the next incident to flash the red card. In fact, I held on until half-time, as I could’ve substituted him earlier.”

Conte has used the same starting XI in each of the three Serie A games so far this season.

“Squad rotation will be done when it is opportune. Serie A is our real objective right now and we can achieve something historic this season.

“I never would’ve dreamed of rotating the squad against Inter. In these next few games we’ll see how strong we really are, as so far we’ve only played once a week. I trust the lads who haven’t played as much so far.

“Fabio Quagliarella is in good shape and is perhaps in his best form since I’ve been at Juventus. He is training very well and I keep him in mind, as everyone has a chance of playing.

“Fernando Llorente is part of the squad, but he was out for a year and that means losing sharpness, so he needs time to get back to full fitness. I won’t throw him into the mix before he’s ready just to keep the media happy.”

I believe in his words but the problem for me is this: Llorente isn't ready, how on God's earth is Vucinic? He was alright against Lazio but his showing against Sampdoria and now Inter has been poor. Quagliarella has been so impressive in training that he earned 10 minutes against lazio and like 20 against Inter lmao.

Conte is a brilliant coach and a Juve legend but he has his flaws

Telling people his players need time to adjust then giving them....
wait for it...

no time to adjust. Is his big flaw.

Yh that's my point

Why bother keeping Gio and Quags instead of selling them when you'll play an injured player over 3 fully fit players.

It's a poor call.

You're right, some of us are being harsh but I think he can handle a little criticism every now and then and he certain isn't immune to it.

You just said he started an unfit player when he has three fit players on the bench and a champions league game days away. At the very least this is an error in judgment

When Quaq had the chance to score with a header and failed, then my first thought was that Llorente would have scored.

No, what Conte is doing is clearly wrong. Stop bringing up two titles and other bs thats the past. Llorente needs to play to gain confidence and as we have seen Conte is terrible in player morale. Stop saying "He won us two titles". He failed in the CL last year with rotation and it seems like he could do the same again. Conte has multiple flaws and some people need to get past the nostalgia of the last two years and look ahead.

Can people stop bringing this up again and again ? Just because he is winning, that doesnt mean he is immune to criticism. This is not Sampdoria where they'll be content with winning 2 titles for a lifetime. This is Juventus and this has been a winning club throughout their history. And when there are problems ,you make sure you rectify them so that it doesnt come back to bite you in the future.

This blind following sometimes disappoints me tbh.And 100% agreed with what J-Man's putting across here.
