Ascendant shards are much easier to get from Vanguard missions tbh. Maybe they wanted to distinguish the two for different options.

Up until today every legendary engram i decrypted was either for another class or materials even the exotic from xur was for another class ... today passed another level at the cryptarch and got a legendary engram wich turned into an exotic hand gun The Last Word , still dont know if its any good but its still something for all the crappy drops i got till now

What Raid are you talking about which kicks you back to orbit if you whole team dies? The only time that happens is in Nightfall Strikes, and even then, your team would need to be made up of completely inept players for that to happen, because the damage boost you get from the elemental modifiers is insane.

I soloed this weeks Nightfall strike in under 20 minutes, because the arc damage modifier was making my arc sniper deal 5k headshot damage on the boss, and my arc rocket launchers and my Titan's arc grenades were wiping out entire platoons of Cabal at once, it was a glorious.

VoG isn't hard mate, like every other activity, when you do it for the first time you struggle because you have no experience and no knowledge of the mechanics or what to expect as you play through it, once you beat it and do it again, it's easy as hell. My Raid group has managed to lower our time to beat the Raid from 90 minutes to around 50 minutes, and we're trying to beat the world record time, which is at 31 minutes last time I heard.

I think we could beat the record if people in my group won't so obsessed with trying to kill every Gorgon in the Gorgon's lair, we spend more time down there continuously getting wiped by the Gorgon's then we do facing the Templar or Atheon, all because people won't swallow their pride and admit that we aren't strong enough to kill every Gorgon.

If Bungie ever increase the level cap to level 40 or something, we'll be able to pull it off then, it's not going to happen at the moment though, especially since whenever you kill a Gorgon, the others left alive get stronger. It's suicide

Yep, thanks to all them coins I gained from the level 28 Heroic Strikes and from decrypting engrams, I have been able to purchase the Titan armour piece AND the weapon of choice for the past three weeks

Gonna try it later on. I think I will have enough to buy 2 items from Xur and hopefully go to level 27.

Went on a mad spirit bloom farming. Found about 14 just in one place lol. Lucky day

Now I am lvl 27

Anyone not terrible at Crucible feeling generous and want to help me finally get through the Thorn bounty?

Yes, I was referring to the nightfall one. Just trying to raise a point as to why some people enjoy this game, despite it's limitations as a triple A and bungie-produced game. Don't know why I bothered, considering Phritz probably just came here to criticise the game and sneak in a little comment regarding PC vs consoles

This week's nightfall is relatively easy, but I wiped on last week's nightfall, together with some random guy who kept dying out in plain view. I don't have a whole lot of arc-weapons, and my team mate.. even with hunter's temporary invisibility skill, I struggled to revive him without getting killed while running back to cover. The lack of being able to communicate in this game can be quite frustrating sometimes..

i farmed hard before they changed looting system got like 60 relic iron 50 spirit bloom 50 helium filaments ready for when i get enough ascendent shards to upgrade all my armour
