Which Martinez? Jackson Maritnez or Javi Martinez? Judging by the European Supercup final, maybe even Javi Martinez would be a better striker than Giroud. Very Happy 

We could just point out the obvious ones and then proceed: Robin Van Persie, Lewandowski, Messi, Diego Costa, Ibra, Rooney, Luis Suarez, Falcao, Aguero.

I don't know what the opener wants to prove or is saying. I don't understand the purpose of this thread.
I think giroud can do a good job for arsenal be it champions league premier league etc etc etc

I say messi and ronaldo are better than him. If that answers your question.

HB is sickened by the thought that some of us are "actually" satisfied with Giroud and Bendtner (and Sanogo) to push on for the title this season. Just check out the transfer thread in our section.

It doesn't matter what he does today. One game doesn't change anything or at least it shouldn't change anything.
I think he's average. To add some names to cats list:

Hmm he is average if he played for chelsea city etc. When he plays with arsenal its 10\10 as he is a striker which is more important for his other qualities, scoring is only an advantage.

Now to rephrase the question who is currently the better striker for ArsenaL.

What you probably mean is that Arsenal is 10/10 for Giroud. He's certainly not the perfect striker for the club.

why highburied? giroud is a good striker, maybe not world class but he is decent. he doesnt deserve a thread like this.

Messi has been playing the position of centre forward for years now though his role is quite different to most CFs in the world. I do consider him a striker.
