Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
I appreciate that BB. I don't really frequent ESPN, so I wasn't sure how reliable they were or how good their track was when it came to breaking news. That's made me smile knowing he is one of the top sources.
If that's true, then it's a big possibility Moyes will be gone within the next 3 games.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
This time last season, David Moyes' Everton had 48 points from 29 games, having scored 46 goals & conceded 35
This season, David Moyes' #MUFC side have 48pts from 29 games, having scored 46 goals and conceded 34 ... #progress
That is his ceiling. Always will be a mid table manager no matter what.

Busby Babe wrote:Okay I've grouped every ESPN Journo into one, which is very unfair of me. I've just checked Reddit and they classify the guy that wrote (Miguel Delaney) as a Tier 1 Journo other Tier 1 journo's are Howard Nurse (BBC) and James Ducker (The Times), so he's one of the reliable journalists you're going to get. In fact, he got the Mata story three weeks earlier than anyone else. Again, I don't want to bring hopes up, so don't kill me if we lose Olympiakos, Man City and the big one (West Ham) and he doesn't get sacked .
great work babe checking its reliability.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
If we do spend a lot in the summer, like Woodward has said, then surely any competent manager can get us top 4. If Manicni can win the league....
The obvious answer is Klopp, he'll consider it but he'll probably want to finish what he's doing at Dortmund. I both admire that and find it annoying
The more I think about though, I don't think we will go for an international manager. One of the failures last summer, was Moyes starting on July 1st so we couldn't really do anything in the market before hand and with the World Cup it will be the same with those managers.
Also, I don't want Fergie back, it will be a step backwards, let him enjoy retirement.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
I could easily see Fergie come back for next season, get us back in CL and retire at end of season...no european football next season, meaning less travel for him and less work
all while the board has a full year to find a replacement and negotiate the departure from there current club like a Klopp for example

He might bring Roy Keane as his assistant manager, I don't think SAF would like that Also, his links with Ashley Young are far too strong.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
I really just want the next manager to make us play good football.
The Times have joined in with ESPN, I think the story has got a bit more than legs now
David Moyes on brink of losing Manchester United’s faith [The Times]
Failure to progress in the Champions League could prompt an early end for the manager, writes Oliver Kay
An end-of-regime feeling is beginning to take hold around Old Trafford. David Moyes put on a brave face yesterday, but the mood behind the scenes has darkened so dramatically over the past few days that some within Manchester United wonder if his tenure could survive even one more chastening experience tonight.

it's not even just the football Klopp plays it's his fire that inspires players to play hard because he shows his passion and wears his emotions on his sleeve, Moyes just stands there arms folded all game and rolling his eyes...

Looks like the Board will let you out of your misery rather quickly. Can't see him lasting past City.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
If someone came to me right now and said: Would you take 3 losses in the next 3 games if it meant Moyes getting the sack?
I will rip their arm off and take it.
This POS has completely stifled the fun and joy I have of watching Utd. I don't even look forward to watching our games anymore, it feels more like a chore.
Good win for Olym tomorrow and we'll get rid of him- hopefully.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
What he really needs, though, is the players' backing and the latest leaks out of the dressing room are not exactly glowing for Moyes and his staff, in particular the coach who now goes by a deeply unflattering nickname. Footballers can be brutal sometimes and, behind his back, that coach is apparently being referred to as "f*ck off (name)" – on the basis that is so often the first response when they hear his instructions.
My money is that the coach the extract is referring to is Lumsden

Earlier in the season, he actually said something like if he could achieve 20% of what SAF managed to do, he would be satisfied. Every inch of my fibre down to my bones wanted to snap his neck for saying that!

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
Tonight has gotta be his last game. We'll get k.o'd tonight and hopefully it will be the last we see of this mug.
Easiest opponents in the last 16 and they made us look like a pub team. I still haven't got over that performance in Greece.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
I know it's naive of me to think it, but I think we can do it. I know it's irrational, I don't know why I think we can. I just watched highlights of our comeback against Barcelona in '84, after we lost the first leg 2-0, maybe it's that
Anyway, Olympiakos' record is not so bad that they can't knock us out. Any of the results they got against Arsenal and we're out

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
I wish I had a semblance of confidence. Under SAF, we could have lost the 1st leg 3-0 and I still would be confident of going through.
Under Moyes, this team is dead. They're not playing for him, they won't give a sh*t tbh. I don't see them putting in the required effort to progress. We struggle to score just one goal when faced against a team parking the bus, backs to the wall, clueless on how to break them down. To score 3 without reply is just too much.
And this team right now is in worse form than all those other teams that faced olympiaco and turned the defecit.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
If we go out, I hope we do it winning the second leg. It might be our last European night for a long time. It'll probably won't effect Moyes' sacking too, even if we win the second leg and lose on aggregate he's in deep shit.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
I can already see his smug grin if we win, even though we've just been eliminated.
And his talk of "progress from the 1st leg" "We were just unlucky" "The team played well and we will try to do better in the future" blah blah the same old regurgitated bullsh*t.
Just for that fact I almost want us to lose and get K.o'd. Almost.

I guess it's win-win if we win we're in the quarters, if we lose he'll hopefully get sacked. If we do win I really, really hope he's gone before the quarter-final.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MOYES OUT THREAD
Of course you can do it, you HAVE to do it!!!
Time for the players to show up and fight!!
They should remember what club they're playing for, ffs, it's Manchester United, you fight for each other and the manager!!
No short cuts, no spoilt children behavior!! Through thick and thin!! A long term vision!!
Come on, FFS!!
