anyway, you're pretty good though. Best team in the world 2014. IF you win the FIFA club world cup that is.

The circle-jerkery of UCL winners kind of makes me wish that Chelsea would win it again, except it doesn't, because that would be horrible.

However, I'm sure we won't end up like you last season. I don't know if we will retain UCL, but I'm sure that we won't be destroyed like that Laughing

Because we rested Ronaldo and didn't take the return game seriously after we dismantled Dortmund in the first game by 3-0.  We had no intensity, especially on defense.

The point is we have to worry about Barca and Atleti who are elite and then Sevilla and Valencia who are top European quality.  Bayern HAD to worry about Dortmund and that was it....  managed to dismantle them completely though by buying off their best players over the past 2 years Laughing So they were a lesser version last season and they are complete crap so far this season. Reus seems to be the next target Laughing

To be fair Versacci, we were talking big before any relative real success came the club's way so I'm not seeing any real difference.

But Hans being reminded his team lost 5-0 on aggregate including a 4-0 walloping in Germany all under Pep's watch is very necessary.

Doc, I've more or less come to terms with it, the only thing I'm incapable of dealing with is Ronaldo scoring that freekick

I lost some portion of my lifetime capacity for joy through that. No

The cocky pose, the arrogant run up and the almost correct sense that it is gonna fly over the bar or hit the wall. Instead, that cocky ass Neuer froze like a dear caught in the headlights of Ronaldo's strike.

So tragic Hans, so tragic. But your pain is my pleasure.

now, it's one thing to be mercilessly punished 0:4 at home by your European archrival club. Tough shit, but it happens. Especially if you play as clueless as we did and if you have morons like Paul Breitner at yor club needlessly boasting about before the tie. Pride comes before the fall.
Also we've been hardened by Pippo Inzhagi Devil Incarnate *crosses himself*

But that we had to be undone by the very 2 things I considered most grotesquely and hilariously overrated in all of football. Those 2 things being Ronaldo's free kicks and Sergio Ramos.
That's hard to take.

I didn't think we were that ungracious in victory before to deserve this.
Don't know what's the *bleep* deal with god/the universe's cosmic structure etc.

Neuer has actually been a good sport... he acts cocky and tough to get into the opposing players' head. But when he's beat by a good goal, he generally congratulates the opponent.

I think his demeanor is more about psychological warfare than anything else.

I actually like Neuer a lot.

He simply is a player with a great deal of confidence within his own abilities as some cocksure body language and behaviour does not necessarily spell that if he is arrogant within.

Unlike some of Bayern's others 'leaders' (Schweinsteiger, Lahm) who only want to be leaders when it is easy for them, Neuer is the only one who remains consistent on that regard and many times has shown humility win or lose.

I agree, Neuer is all sorts of awesome. However, watching Ronaldo's freekicks today makes me treasure his goal against Bayern just a bit more.

I cannot believe how you get away with writing absolute bollocks like that Arq. I think it's because your sentences are too long winded for people to actually read them closely.

Oh gee more ad hominem from you. Hilarious.

I don't see how posting a picture of Schweinsteiger bleeding in the middle of a football pitch disapproves my point, ESPECIALLY considering you did absolutely nothing to debate my point.

Probably the umpteenth time you have put my post down to gibberish considering you failed to counter-act my point. As displayed by previous occasions, when you seem so sensitive to a point you vehemently disagree upon, you retort back within nothing except criticizing the post itself without actually coming up with any constructive criticism.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm are not the leaders they are made out to be while Manuel Neuer is twice the leader both of them are. If your scrotum continues to shrivel by that statement, then carry on.

Then again I cannot debate with a man who thinks Jerôme Boateng is the best CB in the world.
