I not sure if this One Mistake = Scrub or the whole "Fake Form" thing is the most annoying thing about GL.

Robsy, you post some good stuff, but that's just not true. I consider myself completely neutral towards Kompany and I can't say I'm able to name many CBs better than him. May my last argument on this matter be that mistakes made by defenders get highlighted ten-fold compared to other players.

You can't name many CBs better than him because defenders in general are average nowadays. Especially in the PL. lol

Kompany has been fairly poor this season. And has been for a while. With that said, he's still the best CB in the league if you compare every defender individually. His downfall of form is plain and simple; he's mentally fatigued.

He's always rushed back from injury because City's defence is that bad, he hardly gets any time to rest. That's why he's been rash and lacking that little bit of composure he used to have back when he was fit and playing well.

He'll come good again no doubt, but he definitely needs a better defensive partner to help take the pressure off of him. Demichelis is horrid, not sure why Nastastic has been on the bench lately, and Richards hasn't played CB in years.

Nah i agree with him and been saying for a long time.

He's been living off his hype of the title winning season and been nowhere close to those levels since.

This isn't the first time he's made an error this season and its been rejected as "everyone makes mistakes".

Don't matter what he does he will never be blamed.... hell the two Demichelis errors everyone goes on about where in reality Kompany's fault.

Definitely one of the top 6-7 CB's in the World. Also I agree, not every CB is perfect. Everyone has their flaws and makes mistakes.

How come Demichelis & co get destroyed with criticism yet this guy gets away with it all. Has been average for some time now

My opinion really has gone down for Kompakrap this season. I still rate him as a good centerback and a fantastic leader yet his flat-footed defending and lack of intelligence makes it difficult to rate it him higher than he should be.

He's still a top-class CB, but he needs to get back to basics. He has been trying to do too much this season, leading to mistakes and shaky performances. His mind is in midfield when his body is in defence.
