Adrian Ramos - Borussia Dortmund #20

Adrian Ramos' agent Helmuth Wennin has revealed that the Hertha Berlin striker is destined to continue his career at Borussia Dortmund next season.

BVB are in the market for a new striker due to the departure of Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich this summer and Ramos is one of the main candidates to replace the Poland international.

Head coach Jurgen Klopp recently already admitted that he is a keen admirer of the Colombian striker and it appears to be a matter of time before the deal is completed following Wennin's latest comments.

"There is a big chance that Adrian will join Dortmund," the 28-year-old's agent told Colprensa.

"But I prefer not to say too much on it until both clubs have officially announced the deal."

The only thing I have against him is his age. He is older than Lewandowski, surely Klopp would like someone younger?

On the other hand, he can still play two or three years and then be sold, too.

Well, unfortunately I'm not following Hertha closely enough that I can really comment on Adrian Ramos' link up play and finishing, but from what I read he could be quite useful to get over the initial time of Lewandowski's loss until maybe Marvin Duksch is ready to take over. An experienced player actually might help any upcoming kids. I think one needs to wait and see.

I don't like this signing at all, still hoping he's a Schieber replacement rather than Lewandowski. That said I've been wrong about Aubameyang, so let's hope Adrian proves me wrong aswell.

Dortmund pay €10m for Adrian Ramos

Dortmund will pay a €10m fee for Hertha's striker Adrian Ramos. He will get a contract till 2017 with option for another year and earns €2.8m a year. On the weekend, the deal will be finalised and made official soon.

Well, he's not bad, and if Kloppo does what he can do best - make players better each day - this could be a good move.

Well, that's a good start at least. But I think Dortmund should try to find a second striker, just to be sure and have sufficient depth.

Going from Lewandowski to Ramos is a huge step down but there's not much you can do when he leaves for free.

On the other hand, when Robert Lewandowski first came to Dortmund, he was less than convincing and sat on the bench most of the time. Only when Lucas Barrios left, he really started to beast.

So this means Dzeko is not going to move to BvB? He would've been terrific IMO

I'm pretty sure it was the opposite, Barrios's injury introduced Lewa into their starting eleven and when he recovered Lewa already cemented his starting spot with 20+ goals in the Bundes including that title winning backheel goal against Bayern and that forced Barrios on his way out.

Dortmund has confirmed Ciro Immobile's signing. The huge question is, could he fill Lewandowski's void?

He probably doesn't need to as Jürgen Klopp already announced that he wants to adjust the Dortmund tactics to Robert Lewandowksi's loss.
