messi - barcelona

Chelsea - Uhhh, Hold on.

Well naturally ... Argentina is not exactly the biggest league in the world so players are looking for the glory and the ambition to play for bigger clubs in renowned leagues. There are exceptions however such as Santos' Pele.

this is only what i can remember. i am sure if you do a wiki or something more will come up. of course being a real madrid fan, we have a strong argentinian and brazil connection. but cannot say that argentinians > anyone in club football.

infact if i remember correctly, the maximum number of players from a single country in all the european leagues are from brazil

Most legendary Dutch players were already "legends" at Ajax. A lot of them won Champions League trophys with Ajax etc. and moved to other clubs with their names already established. Not really the same, imo.

Of course i love the argies in my team as much as the brazilian. Infact higuain and marcelo are among my favorites at madrid, so my loyalty is divided
