Generally when a new coach comes in, even if he has the IQ of a potato, results can pick up for a little while. So, there's a good chance he impresses.

This is temporary, but it will serve Giggs in good stead. I can see him managing Utd in the near future.

We'll get an established manager for next season and we'll come to put you lot back in your place next season. Make the most of this season  

Norwich at Home is the first game. Even Rooney as a player-manager would win it by at least 3-0.

But the point of Giggs being the manager is just to see the season off. 3 games left. Can't be any worse than Moyes.

How awesome would it be if Private Ryan is sitting there with his suit, rallying his troops on from the dugout and in some time during the match he tears off his suit Superman-style, with his own fighting gear on underneath and he puts himself on the pitch.

Hope it happens. Can already hear the commentators, Jon Champion: "And Ryan Giggs, manager of Manchester United, interim or not, takes to the field himself to win this match for his team."
Jim Beglin: "Yes, Jon. What a moment. Managers always complain from the sidelines thinking they can do better, let's see how this one goes about his business when he is actually on the field himself."

Maybe if Norwich were still managed by that cowardly pos Hughton.

Neil Adams will play high pressing 4-4-2, do or die and go for the win, and not surrounder. Norwich would have been soooo safe by now if they sacked Chrissy sooner.

Giggs is a family man as well. He did all that for his family ffs. He sacrificed his reputation for the sake of his family. Unlike Terry he kept it within the family? Has any footballer made a greater sacrifice? Please tell me because I cannot think of any.

Okay noone has said it so I will, someone needs to tell Phil Neville to *bleep* off...

Phil Neville gets a pass (pardon the pun) for having United in his roots and for being a close friend to Giggs. Otherwise he would have recieved his P45 along with the other stooges.

Ferguson: "Give Giggs the job full-time".

It's happening again

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes interim boss Ryan Giggs deserves to be given the job at Old Trafford permanently.

The Welshman is not believed to be in the running to fill the vacancy on a permanent basis, with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal believed to be the preferred candidates.

But Ferguson believes Giggs has all the attributes to become United's full-time manager.

"I think that he [Giggs] is the one man they should go to, really," Ferguson was quoted as saying at a fundraising dinner in Manchester this week.

"He's got 20-odd years of experience at Manchester United. I signed him as a kid at 13 years of age. He's gone through the gamut of emotions at the club – he's experienced all the highs and lows.

"He knows exactly what's needed to be a Manchester United player and I was so pleased he brought Paul Scholes back in [to his staff], and Nicky Butt of course – two great professionals.

"They understand the club, they are hard workers, they are straight as a die. So you have got the right combinations there, there's no doubt about that."

Ferguson also insists good succession planning is still possible at United despite the failure of Moyes to live up to his predecessor's phenomenal level of success.

"One of the things we have been criticised about over the years is succession planning," he admitted.

"It's a very difficult industry to say you can have succession planning, but in the case of what we were doing in the last few years, with bringing Nicky Butt into the fold, Ryan into the fold, Paul Scholes into the fold, and Gary Neville was offered a position but he decided to go into television.

"He [Neville] could easily come back."

I'll go one step further and remind you that being a good Christian Giggsy really had no choice. After all God punished Onan for refusing to impregnate his dead brother's wife.
That Giggsy's brother was still alive is simply due to today's higher life expectancy compared to the Iron Age.
