However, you also got to love that central midfielder (Anderson?) trying hard to become UNavailable for a pass

This rotten player is who we replaced CR with. even gave him the no.7 shirt up until the coward bottled it and decided to go back to no.25, which I'm very glad he did btw.
Notice how even Blackett is instructing him to punt it forward. An inexperienced defender has more attacking instinct than this clown

This is what is great about the gif, every time you watch it you see something new Look at Mata after Valencia passes it backwards he tilts his head back in frustration

However, Valencia is still better than Young. At least he can defend and he does it very well, but Young is completely useless.

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Manchester United to announce record revenues of around £420m
• £25m profit helped by sales of 2m replica shirts
• Results should include pay-off to David Moyes
Manchester United are expected to announce record revenues on Wednesday of around £420m for last season with a £25m profit helped by sales of 2m replica shirts worldwide.
The annual results should also include details of pay-offs to the former manager David Moyes and his coaching team, but the figures will not reflect any financial losses incurred from failing to qualify for Europe for this season.
The key results have already been flagged up in a prospectus released in August for a new release of shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
The prospectus states that total revenue is expected to be approximately £429m to £434m, an increase of 18 to 19%. By comparison Real Madrid’s turnover was £480m but that includes player sales.
Profit for the year is expected to be £23m to £25m – significantly down from the £146.4m for 2012-13 but that was mainly due to a one-off tax credit.
Approximately 5m Manchester United-branded licensed products were sold last year including 2m replica shirts.
Commercial revenue is expected to be up 25% to around £190m due to pre-season tours and higher sponsorship renewals.
Operating costs are due to be up 20% to £373m mainly due to expenditure on transfer fees and higher player wages.
The prospectus states: “The Manchester United jersey and training wear are completely redesigned for each season. The annual launch of the new jersey is always a much-anticipated day for our global community of followers.
“The result is a robust wholesale apparel business that sold approximately 5m items of Manchester United branded licensed products, including approximately 2m replica jerseys, around the world in the last year.”
The debt should be confirmed as £350m, with the cost of paying off the debt a similar level to the profits.
The prospectus said: “We currently estimate that our net finance costs will be approximately £26.5m to £28.5m.”
The Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will take part in a conference call with investors after the results are released.

I'm not an expert -sports where are you?- but does that mean that profit is after the net finance costs? or do they cancel each other out then?

Oh hey... who do we have here...do you miss me Hans?
Where were you after you quoted that piece of news that just backfired against yourself?
O, you and number
Jokes aside, I'm guessing the finance costs and operating costs have been accounted for in calculating the profit.
So, (maybe) profit = revenues - operating costs - finance costs = roughly 25mil.

Andy Green @andersred
Club says wages @ManUtd down "single digit %" in 2014/15
Wages have in fact gone down but we have no wage structure
Andy Green @andersred
Shambolic reporting of @ManUtd by BBC. Profits "down 84%" all down to a non-cash tax credit in 2013. Cash profits up 20%.
Andy Green @andersred
Interesting for investors who bought shares off Glazers. Club spending 100% of profits on transfers.

hey there Dutti
not sure why you think that backfired though.. since if I remember correctly your insistence on being right about the 6m loan fee meant at the same time United paying Falcao 18m£ in wages

£14 mil in wages, but it's weird you never see wages included in a transfer fee but with the Falcao loan deal you do. You'd never see Ronaldo cost Real Madrid £150mil (including wages), but £80 mil instead. I don't know if that £150 mil is correct, but you get my point.

It backfired because you thought the news that you quoted proved that you had placed the right bet on Di Marzio when, in fact, the news proved him wrong. That was clumsy of you.

sure, it's just because there were conflicting reports about how much Falcao cost you, and there's surely a lot of book-cooking going on too. Ed is a financial industry accountant, after all.Busby Babe wrote:it's weird you never see wages included in a transfer fee but with the Falcao loan deal you do

dutti, DiMarzio gets his info from Mendes and Monaco, while the English press gets their info from Woodward.
Just because there's a discrepancy between English news and DiMarzio, that doesn't mean they 'prove him wrong'.

Regardless, that Guardian news that you quoted didn't help your argument about Di Marzio, because the news quoted very different figures from what Di Marzio had reported. That's why it backfired against you.

No, it's for other pl fans to comfort themselves that they could not afford Falcao. Hell, I've seen articles say Welbeck (£16mil) cost less than Falcao does for one year.
Cooking the books? That sounds like you don't like what Woodward is saying, thus making yourself believe that he's lying.

Herrera is on dirt cheap wages to our other signings if I recall, and why they went down we got rid of the 3 highest earning defenders, Welbeck who was on like 80k a week, Hernandez who was on similar wages and the greedy bastard Cleverley
would not be surprised if the % it went down is below 5% difference lol but still less none the less

Phil Jones injured again.
He can't seem to manage a run of games without getting injured.
Utterly pathetic how injury prone our defence is.

Sucks so much. LvG said he's evaluating the teams preparations because of the amount of the injuries we have, I hope it works, but obviously there's so much he can do when the majority of our defence is injury prone. I swear Jones is the CB version of Wilshere, talented but gets injured too often.

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Nice to see in the video, LvG saying 8 spots up for grabs for the youth players. He mentioned Wilson as one of the injured players this week so he's contention for making the squad now. There was a training clip, that showed Andreas Pereira training with the first team as well. We have a lot of #10s, but our CM depth is poor I'd like to see LvG try to experiment with him and try make him a CM, he has great work rate. Or, even try him as a winger.

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
I don't think he starts. Due to injuries van Gaal already has to give a debut to Blind, Rojo and maybe Shaw but he's not 100% fit. Herrera and Di Maria still haven't played a lot with the team either. Today, Liverpool struggled by trying to play too many new signings together. So van Gaal might not want to make too many changes. I think Falcao comes off the bench.
It also gives him an excuse for now, he doesn't have to bench Mata, RvP or Rooney yet if he uses Falcao off the bench.
But this only my opinion that he won't start. Falcao has said he is fit.
