they were in a pitch, they used their feet and heads to score goals. thats football

our opinions do not matter when it comes to fact.
i disliked it too when barcelona faced chelsea in the champions league but to take away the achievement because you didn't like their style of play is dumb and bitter.
especially considering atletico madrid's track record when they face madrid/barcelona in the past two years you cannot pin that on luck or lack of skill.

they found a way to win and are winning doesn't matter how much possession they hold or not.

Atleti do not play football. They hack at your players, kick them until there is no fight in them left. Then they score from one of their two tops chances and your team is too pissed off and resort to try and retaliate instead of trying to equilise or get a winner. It doesn't help that referees like Clos Gomez exist in football who manage to give your team two more booking than that team which fouled your players DOUBLE as much as you did theirs

Can't stand their inhuman tactics. They have no interest in playing football, their football is like shite on a stick, hoofing it at every opportunity they get but then suddenly they scored from a penalty, sorry I mean a set piece and just close shop

All these Barca fans laughing at me, cant wait for Suarez biting them after they target him like they target Ramos who is a pos btw

Maybe you should do like Barca in Mou's first year in Madrid when they received the same treatment in the Clasico and start diving and faking injuries to cause free kicks/yellow or red cards

We had a few individuals who played like that namely Pepe, Ramos, Xabi and Arbeloa. Atleti have a few individuals who do NOT play like that. There is a difference and we have alot more honest players than Barca. Can only think of James, Ronaldo, Bale and Pepe who would resort to those tactics. I'd rather have players like Isco than the Neymar's and Suarez' of this world. That poverty gif won't change a thing

you can't blame atleti. its the job of a coach to get out the best from his players. if those players aren't as technically gifted, its only normal for such coach to focus on the physical and mental aspect. we know this, we knew atleti would be physical, rough and gritty, so it was our job to break them, which we couldn't do....if we expect every team to take risks and try to match our technical prowess (thus run risks of letting us play on the counter) then we're in for a rude awakening....atleti did their job, we on the other hand must learn from that, not all wins will come pretty.....btw arbeloa is soft, imo this dude has just used public opinion and the feud with casillas to stake his claim on this team, he's been soft since 2010, soft as charmin

Thats such a myth. Just cuz barca cant open up ptb teams doesn't mean we cant either

We had no problems scoring alot of goals against Valencia, Levante, Osasuna, Atleti, Sevilla last season unlike Barca. We have found it difficult scoring against Atleti this season but I put that down to the selection of players rather than the team as a whole

Once Carlo grows some balls and benches the players that should be benched, we should be alright

Yeah you're right. Replace 'always' with 'when Madrid have lost they have always had more posession' and I think it will be a valid statement.

Well only Bayern and Barca generally have more posession than us every game. I can even see Man City ceding posession against us who also have a higher posession average than us

I don't see how it's disuputable that RMA feel more confortable on the counter than with the ball.

Oh and I had not realized previously that you guys had lost all your matches against Atleti this season

BC chill im sure out of the 22 game winning streak, madrid dominated the ball for at least 20 games, the team is past being only a counter attacking team

im pretty sure having more possession, wasn't the reason the team lost those games anyway, but you can fool yourself otherwise

@Chad and Doc: my revised statement said that when they lose they are more likely to not have had possession. This is true. Some teams can beat Real Mdrid with possession, like Bayern and Barca, but they are by far the exception and it's not at all likely that Barca can do it right now. While I did originally say they can't win with possession, that was a tongue in cheeck comment, which is why I fixed it a few posts later.
