If there's something worse than a bad referee, that's referees that compensate a mistake they made by committing another mistake that favours the originally penalized team. That's not even bad, that's pathetic.

TBF on Atletico this match was really a fluke. For the first time in ages Barca played at the camp nou as the underdog, so the pressure was all on Atleti and they just played a derby against Real and they played with Gimenez and Gamez since they were without Miranda and Ansaldi and the goals themselves were fluky.

I still think they're favourites for the CL after Bayern. Real will suffer from the CL holders syndrome, Barca still doesn't look stable to me and we have done nothing yet to be considered at the same level of Atleti and Bayern

Yea, but i don't think Barca will ever play again a match against Atleti when they're not the favourites to win (just look the prematch comments in the Barca section) when they miss 2 of their starting defenders, when they just played against Real few days before and when you score from two rebounds and a handball. Hence this match was a fluke.

i wouldn't use the barca section as a valuable example, that section in every single match is filled with negativity, I like to think we are the biggest critics of our team because even if we win, we aren't happy.
also GL has this reverse jinx hype for the longest time.

taking all goals aside, atletico were lucky to finish the game with 11 men and also lucky not to concede two penalties.
miranda and a random lb wouldn't of changed that, atletico also only had two shots on target 1 being from a penalty (which was a questionably soft penalty at that)

hardly a fluke, if you wanna debate that atletico are still favorites for whatever competition, that holds truth as i rate them highly too but to say they lost because they were missing two players is hardly a good excuse.

also we played today's match with 1 day less rest, whereas atletico madrid rested some of their stars for the real madrid game.

Also, refs aren't told to judge intent since it would be way too complicated. So basically, they are told to judge dangerous play based on how careless, reckless and the excessive force.

Badboy Messi was quite fun to watch tbh. Last season he was mostly looking disinterested and walking around in these fixtures. Now he's conceding a penalty defending in his own box and elbowing and karatekicking all over the place. Hope Enrique pisses him off more often.

Wouldn't mind if Messi became head coach and Enrique decided to take up a position whose role was to piss Messi and others off.

I mean I guess that's kind of the set up right now so what I'm really saying is I hope things stay this way.

there is no doubt that tactically match was played into Barcas hands and aerially Barca did really well, so the major Strength of Atleti was nulllified. I dont understand whats the noise is about
