BVB needs to stop being stubborn. They are losing Reus next summer whether they like it or not.

For Reus it's obviously best to wait until next summer when he'll most likely get to choose exactly where he wants to go as everyone will be lined up for him.

For BVB though it's terrible business. They could most likely get 100% more for him this summer (if the €25m is true). Though as I've been told plenty of times BVB board doesn't run the club like that.

Yeah but that doesn't help Dortmund

They were performing and performing extremely well for Dortmund, and a lot of them left for dirt cheap/free so whether they flop or not elsewhere changes nothing.

honestly from the looks of things whenever and whomever Barca get linked to Man U a couple days later suddenly are interested in the same player.

but nontheless i do hope they beat us to that scrub defender.

They need to stop trying to hold on to there talisman? No they don't. Why? because it helps Liverpool? they don't care about Liverpools intrest, they care about theres. If they think keeping him at least one more season will help them win some games then more power to them. Plus they would have from now until next summer to convince him to stay and sign a new contract.

How dare BVB look towards their own interests ?! Reus should be sold asap to the EPL to his favorite Liverpool,Arsenal,Manchester etc so that he can feel the taste of the stronk competition and dat dere prestige of the league

I rate Vermealen quite low, but we should look at this objectively.

His attributes are very well suited to 3 at the back, it would be a good signing.

Just because people want to buy their player now they argue how it is "terrible business" for Dortmund to keep Reus.
Again, they don't care about the money, the important thing for them is to stay competitive footballwise.
The same was when they kept Lewandowski. People who have no clue claiming "Dortmund are stupid/incompetent to let Lewa leave on a free" etc.

Who knows how high the clause is, next year. Who knows why Rummenigge said what he said.
Dortmund's goal is to keep Reus as long as possible, period.
No "but if someone bids 1492m now" etc..

Reus is the only Dortmund player left with a release clause, they've started to get rid of those a couple of years ago, and they're trying to negotiate with him to get rid of it now too.
That's probably what Rummenigge wants to torpedo, though the moron doesn't know what he's doing.

This idea that getting a huge load of money for the star player somehow helps a team that wants to rise and establish itself as a top team is nonsense.
What are they going to do with the money? They won't be able to replace Reus, they'll have to get someone expensive on high wages etc.
Liverpool fans will realize that themselves, the 80m for Suarez don't get tham ANYTHING, as they won't be able to replace the quality.
To buy depth is no problem, to buy quality is.

Btw....hey liverpool fans saying you think Dortmund should sell Reus for the clubs best intrest. Would you still feel that way if he got sold to Utd? So is it that you care about the club and the players future....or you just want him at your own club?
