Co-ownerships are finished now, you can renew existing ones for this next season but there can be no more new co-own deals.

You know that Milan could have signed Yann Sommer last year (there were quite some rumours about that, IIRC), but for some reason this never materialized (not that I'm angry about that as it means he is now in the Bundesliga).

I don't think we've ever paid for a GK.

Though this is another example of the managements lies. Constantly talk about youth project, yet buy a 33 year old GK over a 22 year old Perin. Laughing

Scuffet would cost 5M and Perin 10M. Heck, maybe we would get a discount due to our good relationship with Genoa.

I feel like people are forgetting just how raw Scuffet is, he has been on the stage for such a short time that people haven't really been exposed to the mistakes he has made and been able to cast a critical eye over his game. Whilst I would take him, he is a huge risk over an experienced keeper such as Lopez. Perin at least has now been a consistent first team keeper in Serie A for many years now and is ready to make a step up in his career.

Abbiati was a good GK, decisive for 2 Scudetti won by Milan ( 99 and 2011) , but he Was. He is finished now, just seeing the last season with a good number of mistakes.

Cascia agrees, Milan usually doesn't like to pay GKs.
It is not in Milan DNA.  They usually  prefer investing on other roles (the real problem for Milan is  that they not even invest in other roles anymore now Laughing) because Milan management has always rated  enough to have a good/average GK. But basically the real expenditure must be on other.
Basically there is a reason.
the record holder for the longest streak without conceding a goal in Serie A history belongs to Milan with Sebastiano Rossi , a niormal GK, record got in 1994 ( Rossi wasn't even the 3rd GK to Usa 94) . This happened because the defence was estremely solid, composed by Tassotti, Baresi, Costacurta and Maldini. Probably they wouldn't have conceded goal even with me as GK. This probably influenced this conception by Milan management
infact hardly Milan had " top " Gks in its history, contrariwise to defenders, midfielders and CFs of course.

On the contrary Inter always had a great tradition of GKs because the GK was always rated as basic stone by us, Ghezzi Sarti Zenga Pagliuca Toldo Julio Cesar etc , and after Julio Cesar we bought Handanovic rated as one of best Serie A GKs

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain to return to Juventus, according to a former coach of the Swedish striker.

The enigmatic 32-year-old has won two successive Ligue 1 titles with PSG, starring in both seasons, but has continually been linked with a return to Italy throughout his time in France.

Stefan Hansson, who befriended the Swede during his youth at Malmo, claims that the striker wants to go back to Serie A in the next year and has his heart set on the current Scudetto holders.

"He was young and crazy - now he's just crazy," the current coach of Indonesian club Mitra Cutra told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We spoke on Skype a few days ago and he told me that he would like to return to Juventus, if not this year then next year. But it is not a matter of money."

Alberto Moreno will not be in Cardiff
Sevilla and Liverpool have left virtually closed the deal, pending a minimal difference.

JESUS ALBA / SEVILLA | UPDATED 6/8/2014 - 7:04

Who expects the much expected little, and Alberto Moreno, finally tuck the exit door. The transaction has not yet closed, at least officially, but is about to be clinched and everything indicates that the side of the Cerro del Águila will definitely wear the shirt of Liverpool the next five seasons. already warning that came the visit to Spain of Ian Ayre, executive director of the British group, it seemed the end, then when the English come with little money to do. Sevilla will be satisfied with the new agreement, pending a narrow differences by a trivial amount considering the total amount of the transaction, which will approach 20 million intended Sevilla adding the fixed and variable. The business will close in a number between 17 and 18 million fixed over two million in bonuses for performance and objectives. We're talking about the differences are of an amount less than one million euros and, considering that 15 per cent for the player would also be slope-although it is a variable that Alberto could make some concession to facilitate understanding end- it can be said that everything will come to fruition. And the truth is that cost after the player agreed and contract 5 years time, the conditions have not changed. But if Albert and early summer was practically transferred to Liverpool for 20 million euros (18 more 2), subsequent differences in negotiating the talks did break by lowering the supply Liverpool 15 million (12 more variables). Sevilla refused to talk about the player in these figures and there was an impasse in which many things happened. For example, a friendly between Liverpool and Manchester City in which Jesus Navas stripped the whole Brendan Rodgers on his left side. 's coach network asked the club an effort for both the left and the right side as it was then Maybe the announcement of his visit to Spain CEO. Athletic Manquillo Javier was the target for the right-handed side and the mattress young player traveling to Liverpool on Monday to undergo a medical and formalize his new contract on loan from club mattress. The next step for Ian Ayre was to tie all the loose ends to be Alberto, though that would not be such a pushover. Negotiations were resumed last week with a meeting that was decisive for the presence of the outfall of Liverpool, the representative own player and Sevilla. That contact did not come out a final agreement, but an important enough to think that no longer has reverse and that, for example, it will be difficult for Alberto Moreno play in the European Super Cup Cardiff approach. Anything can happen, but if Liverpool are ready to risk not going to dispute that game the player at risk not only from injury, but a great performance against Real Madrid squad rise further quote and have to upload your proposal by the presence of other clubs who decide to pay more for Alberto. According to all sources, the end should not take long because the amount right now separating the positions of Sevilla and Liverpool is talking about fairly low such a large amount and executing arms are located so that everything is topped shortly. Throughout the history of Alberto Monero remember that in January and Sevilla rejected an offer from Naples came to 13 million euros. And I became aware that there was more powerful player behind the clubs, especially the English Premier League, where the power of the pound gets almost everything he wants. Several clubs followed closely injury and traveled to Seville to watch it live. Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Manchester City ... and Liverpool. First offered 15 million and Sevilla was referred to Clause (20). The Liverpool and rose long (18 plus 2) approached, but the deck broke turning to the amount of 15. Iago operation Blades and other issues assumed an approach, and the last meeting, the almost final push ... O almost without.

http://www.diariodesevilla.es/article/sevillafc/1829831/alberto/moreno/no/estara/cardiff.html

So basically he won't play in the European Super Cup in Cardiff against RM. And that the fee is €18m plus €2m in add ons. Basically £14.27m plus £1.59m in add ons = £16m.

The coach change might be relevant if the top 5 (assuming Man Yoo revert to pre Moyes type) wasn't Van Gaal, Wenger, Pellegrini, Mourinho and Rodgers.

Pochettino is Pardew level compared to these guys ffs Laughing

Liverpool could sign Marco Reus for just £19.8m as new transfer details are leaked
Wednesday 6 Aug 2014 8:38 am

Liverpool have been given as boost in Marco Reus race (Picture: Getty)
Liverpool could sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus for just £19.8million after new details about his release clause were leaked.

The Reds are said to be leading the race for Germany international Reus, who has rejected a new contract at Dortmund and looks set to leave.

His release clause, which comes into effect next summer, was thought to be worth £27million, but Bild says interested clubs have now been alerted that it is actually as low as £19.8million.

That means that Liverpool could sign the 25-year-old for less than £20million, if they successfully fend off interest from other clubs.

Brendan Rodgers is said to hold a firm interest in Reus (Picture: Getty)
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have both been linked with Reus, while Barcelona are also known to have a fleeting interest.

However, with all three already well stocked with midfielders and with Reus said to be looking for a big project at his next club, Liverpool will firmly be in the race

Forget about the part about Liverpool. I thought Rummenigge was pulling shit out of his ass. Is the release actually €25m and NOT €35m like everyone thought?

That release clause comes from Rummenigge's mouth. Who knows the legitimacy of that since he could be trying to unsettle Reus.

If it's that low then about 20 clubs will be offering for him. Despite needing him or not.

Unpopular opinion but I think if he had the same resources (and he sort of does now) then he is on the level of at least three of those guys.

I guess we'll have to wait and see but I think he will eventually prove a big asset for Spurs if Levy stays out of the football matters.

Martinez is better than Pochettino though in my eyes.

It's always possible that a club could offer something like 50m and Dortmund could be tempted for it.

But it looks like they want to keep him after Lewandowski. Wouldn't be a good image of them if both Reus and Lewa leaves.
