Lewandowskis goal was lucky as balls though, what body part did he score with? His left ear?

It wasn't though, actually thatwas quite a brilliant goal. Was more determination and persistence than luck.

Townsend yells 'Get in!!' when Aguero scored the 3rd goal. How is this acceptable? Disgusting commentating. *puke*
Alonso though

It's like you lot got bored with how easy it is and decided to gift them goals for the 'lolz'. ffs
Roma will do enough to beat them next. Hopefully. It's not done and dusted yet.

Let's keep in perspective, City beat a team at home after having a man advantage for 70 minutes.
Should be a great game in Rome, though.

Is there any defender who doesn't make mistakes? Nowadays there's not even a defender who doesn't make mistakes every month.

So what you're saying is that Thiago's mistakes have nothing to do with defending?

Thats a perfectly legit tackle, imo. TS is still the best in the world. Boateng is an EPL flop

When has Boateng ever been the best CB in the world?
Silva and Varane are comfortably better.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Varane gets to enter the discussion when he actually regularly plays in his team's first eleven and not before.
I actually thought Boateng played well on the most part, despite his error which is obviously unforgivable, I didn't think he was the biggest villain of the night for Bayern. Alonso despite his goal was poor throughout and brought City back into it, Bernat was roasted 1v1 and was poor positionally all night, often destroying Bayern's offside trap and Benatia got himself sent off through an absolutely pointless challenge.
I obviously feel that Hans overrates him slightly however he doesn't get the credit often due him on this forum.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
City were extremely lucky to win. They were outplayed at home, against 10 mind, for more than 70 minutes. And two of their goals came from fetal mistakes from the opposition, taken advantage off by just one player, it wasn't even a team counter attack, or something alike.
Well, congrats to City anyway.

When did Varane jump ahead of the likes of Hummels and Kompany?

Kompany
Varane has shit on Kompany the day he decided to become a footballer.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
You're right, Kompany captaining City to multiple league titles pales in comparison to the consistency shown by a player who has played three full league games this season, late in November.
