Don't access the DLC until you are 150. Keep playing. Access it before you face the final bosses

Actually you can even do it after the final bosses. Unlike Dark Souls 1 and 3 you are not immediately put on NG+ after finishing the final boss. The option to start NG+ is available on the bonfire after finishing the game.

@rg I just beat the second last boss but I am not lvl 150 yet. Should I go for the last boss or dlc. If dlc how should I access it?

It's fine. Have a go at DLC. Save the last boss post-DLC just to have a sense of completion.

There are 3 DLCs all accessible in different ways.

DLC1: Kill the two giants in Black gulch. There's a ladder in the Majula pit that leads to a stone door. Open it. Key's inside. Dragon Talon. The statue after Rotten; open the door after interacting with it.

DLC2: The minotaur head just inside the Iron Keep with an item. Take that. Go to the Last Giabt in FoFG. Open the door right before it. Straight across and slightly to the right is a lizard with a corpse. That's the key; Heavy Iron Key. Door's after Old Iron King.

DLC3: After the six-door room in Drangleic Castle. Second corpse, near a petrified Royal Soldier. Frozen Flower. Access in the Shrine of Winter, the statue in the building between the Castle and the Shaded Woods.

. Also really struggled against the Throne watcher and Throne defender for two whole days. What a shitty thing to do by makers. DS2 has really confusion as to what a tough boss fight should be. Thers a thin line between tough and frustrating and DS2 has no clue where that line is.

Did you fight all the hidden bosses in the base game? Vendrick, Ancient Dragon, Darklurker etc.

I'd be surprised if he did(probs too late now). I am sure they all get cut off at some point. Don't you need to be in a covenant to reach darklurker?

If you're not on NG+ nothing is missable. Just google how to get to them. I remember to fight Vendrick you have to get five giant souls or else the fight is super tough because he has ridiculous defence. Ancient Dragon is in a hidden area and for Darklurker you indeed need to join a covenant and clear three dungeons while being a member.

There are other optional bosses too like Belfry Gargoyles and Royal Rat Authority.

Beat Gargoyles and Rat Authority. Thank god others are stiil playable. I was feeling like fraud after completing DS1 without Kalameet.

Never did it myself until now and hopefully will never do it in furture also. Saw people doing it in youtube videos. Some mofo summoned NPC for Mytha, stood in corner while the phantom finished her single handedly Laughing
