Post by Tomwin Lannister Wed Dec 03, 2014 5:07 pm

Basically, I have BT internet and my 'hub' is shite so I need a new router

Anybody know of a good router I can get that works with bt/can be made to work with bt because their home hub 4 is shite and their home hub 5 costs 139 quid

Then check those routers out. The good ones cost a lot but they are worth it.

I have heard BT Home Hub 5 is the best ISP router though. Maybe you can ask them for it just to be safe?

Does having a faster speed make any difference? Mine is around 10-15 mb/s and most pages load fast. Download speeds are usually dependent on the cap the host sets/the seeds etc. hmm

Not necessarily. Most normal webpages aren't that big that 10 Mbit/s vs. 50 Mbit/s would make a difference. Workload of the servers and of your ISP matters more. You probably notice it when you try to watch Youtube video at 3 am or 8 pm, there should be a difference despite your max. downspeed remaining the same.

Laughing you gotta understand the Canadian telecom scene...there is 2 companies that own it all here, both of them just offer the same shit with a different label on it, aka there is no competition so they rob us blind
