No, Corriere dello Sport is  basically garbage. the Roman Tuttosport.
Gazzetta dello Sport is the only decent newspaper about rumours . As Italian I can testify it.
Sneijder-Juve is confirmed both Sky (Sky is definitely the most reliable source) and Gazzetta though.
They report Juve has contacted Sneijder and Sneijder is available to join .but  Juve must still talk about Galatasaray .
all talk also about your interest on Rolando too . For me Rolando is legit, I am still angry to not have him taken again tbh . but  I don't know  your priorities/other targets about defence..

lol do not expect big transfers in the winter. Sneijder is good enough, but he is old and we need someone younger.

Dude Shaqiri is not a big transfer for 20m especially since we have more revenue from qualifying past our CL group. The only reason we shouldn't get him is if Bayern say he is not for sale. We should not be pushed out by another team for him. Better to play Coman than to sign a washed up Sneijder!

Plus, we're getting more money in the Champions League since we're the only Italian team in it right now. I heard Bayern are willing to sell him for 16 million.

have Coman as backup and work towards a wing formation with Coman getting some regular time, i'd seriously work in having Coman in some CL games since Shaqiri won't be available for that should we sign him.....

It's evident we'll keep on plodding along making signings like this because the powers at the top don't want to part with their own money due to a lack of ambition. Which is fine now as we can maintain league dominance, but this transfer strategy when our old core retire/decline shortly will leave us in the shit.

Imagine a declining Chiellini, No Pirlo, No Barzagli, No Buffon and no Tevez because he'll be returning home at contracts end. We can only hope to improve with top signings to replace them, not these 3rd rate washed up has beens. We'll look like a slightly superior Milan.

It's actually comparable in potential to Milan's slow decline. We had enough quality remaining in the team that when our older stars started to retire or move on we were still competitive without being able to win trophies for a while but a refusal to regenerate left us highly dependent on bridging transfers that provided short term stability without allowing us to return to a highly competitive level.

You've plenty of time and enough players who are still young or in their prime to continue to build around as you replace the likes of Barzagli and Buffon in the near future though.

On the meanwhile we won't be able to use sneijder in the CL...

Ok guys, lets look at it this way. I guess we are going for sneijder instead of shakiri cuz of he is available for a low price and he is a proven world class player even though he hit 30 this summer. Look at it, what we need is a CAM and Sneijder IS one, unlike shakiri who plays mostly on the wings. And, Sneijder may have more experience more than shakiri. Sneijder also may be available for like almost free I guess considering the problem with Gala that they did not pay his wages for the last 2-3 months...

I will be satisfied with this purchase. Look at how the tevez transfer ended like even though he was in his alte 20s, early 30s. Sneijder has more quality IMO than Shaqiri... Sneijder has more creativity.

Us bringing in Sneijder this mercato is a safe purchase. You sometimes see teams who are leading their leagues by christmas and fail to add that one or two players to push them to the finish line and it ends up with them getting pegged by the number two team. We can't use him in the Champions' League but he hopefully provide us with enough depth and quality to finish the league ahead of Roma.

The problem isn't who we go for in January, it's more the fact that we don't go after the top players in the summer either.

I won't say shakiri was crap in the WC, he was the Swisss best player IMO. But I would agree that he is overrated. Better go for sneijder now.

meanwhile we will let shaqiri go now that he is available,and in the summer, when all world class players are beyond our reach for 15m we'll settle for more scrubs like Perreyra for more money than we could have got Shaqiri and we'll keep on piling our team with more and more thrash, then struggle to rid ourselves off them, cos who will buy Perreyra after he is found out (if he already hasn't been)
