Fredy Guarin is a different player under Mancini ffs

So far thhe best job made by Mancini is the Guarin's improvement. Two goals  and assist today too, in previous match 1 goal and 2 assist, and  this always as midfielder

the previous managers used him as CAM boateng-esque

Yep, always liked Guarin coz he gives a 110% every game, despite how frustrating he can be at times.

Been watching Roma for the past 15 mins, cant believe how many chances they waste

Typical Roma bottle job.
They lost also Scudetto 1986 because they lost 2-3 against Lecce at Olimpico and that Lecce was already relegated as this Parma.
Although this  league is already closed tbh. It didn't change much with their victory .. .basically It has to do with 2nd place. If Napoli didn't lost against Palermo it was -1 from Roma ... basically Roma must think to 2nd place now.

Another Podolski miss and FT! 1-4. I don't remember Poldi being this wasteful before.

Podolski close to 1-5 now.

he was the only negative note today, he is not still fit,  I don't get the reason tbh , he is not even so old, has he celebrated the WC won for months ? Very Happy

Or maybe it has to do with banner .. He debuted well against Juve and Genoa hmm

And it wasn't even about chance creation today. We created more chances in this game than I've seen in the last 3. Finishing has just been abysmally poor.

Truly astonishing stuff.

On the brightside.....Verde once again had a huge part in upping our game.

That said...we still dropped points against a side literally worth 1 euro ffs.

This is why I'm a bit shocked that Roma sold Destro, he may not have lived up to the hype but he was the only forward Roma had with a goalscoring instinct (besides Totti obviously). Roma have a great midfield but terrible finishers.

Santon is easily our best fullback , he didn't play for months now 3 close matches and always legit ... but on other hand it is not difficult to better than Nagatomo Dodò Jonathan ( I save just D'Ambrosio)
while Ranocchia-Juian Jesus is the worst Inter partnership ever seen from me ... just hoping this Murillo is good.

Well Destro was sold because he wanted more playing time and Rudi couldn't guarantee it due to his preference for Totti when both are fit so it was a staffing decision more than a tactical one. Doumbia will probably be the finisher we need him to be, but that will take time.

Rudi's hand for was forced a bit due to injuries. Doumbia and Gervinho were both fit despite their participation in AFCON and with Totti, Maicon and Iturbe out, Rudi couldn't afford to keep them out of the squad. Both did ok, but we lacked a creator to release them into space.

Pirlo losing the ball twice in dangerous positions, and this time it has lead to a goal. 1-0 Djuric for Cesena. Looks like all top 3 teams might lose points today.

Edit: 1-1 Morata!

Edit 2: 1-2 Marchisio! Oh well it looks like the gap between 1st and 2nd will become even larger. How long til they mathematically win the league? 9 points in February.

I would say Icardi as a winger and Palacio upfront.
Palacio is lethal when he is on fire.

Gervinho did ok, but Doumbia basically showed that he isn't ready yet. Verde is simply Roma's future.

Roma fans' happiness didn't last that long I guess xD I knew that we would come back. I don't know what the hell happened to our defense 3 times in a row, where GIGI saved us the 3rd time...

Yeah, that is 100% true, but then this will create more problems between Allegri, Pirlo and the bleep italian media...

That would have been the case at the start of the season, Allegri coming in and benching Pirlo again etc

But at this point, I don't think a majority of Juve fans will complain, after seeing Pirlo this season. All the media could/would do at this point is talk about some bust up with Pirlo and Allegri or some shit, which means nothing.

We won't complain, but it will be something 'big' to bench 'pirlo', which would create a stir.

read now the post.

Yes, on paper the lineup posted by BC is the best considering every player as fit , but realistically  D' Ambrosio must be our fullback starter with Santon and not Campagnaro, and Hernanes is another declined player as Palacio ( BC is right about him , he is totally finished . Even today he scored casually.. I ' m sorry to watch in these conditions because I ' m his fan but at this point I hope he will be back to Boca Juniors this summer )  so I wouldn't deploy him as starter and Mancini thinks it as me .

Besides I think it 's difficult to bench this  Brozović , he is being very important for this midfield, he is so complete and so he helps for both the phases.

the 4-2-3-1 used in some matches was shit, the team looks like improved when Mancini converted with this 4-3-1-2

Handanovic
Santon  Ranocchia JJ D'Ambrosio
Medel
Brozovic Guarin
Shaqiri
Icardi Palacio

Kovacic is one of our most talented players, but these Guarin and Brozovic are difficult to sub . So I don't blame Mancini for it. I blame it just for his insistence on Ranocchia starter for Vidic with no merits .. maybe because he 's the captain..

I was watching 1st half Cesena-Juve , Cesena played very well counterattacking, but Juve was lethal as every team who conscious of its power

Cesena is still playing well but there is so much difference among 2 teams.

21 Serie A matches, basically always, but he was shit since beginning of season . Simply declined.

Same sudden decline seen for Batistuta  2003 , Crespo 2008,  Cruz 2009  , Milito 2011 .... it's typical for Argentinian CFs . All players who were great just the previous year but it was swansong because of age . Palacio was destroyed also for that WC....

But at least they last more years than Brazilians

Really a great match by Cesena.

Deserved 2-2 . Same team who won against Lazio two matches ago. They will relegate for that awful beginning.

Roma  Incredible missed chance to reduce the gap from Juve.
