One woukd think Bale is a scrub by reading things here but he's a very goid player. he doensnt fit Real but so did Kaka and countless players at countless clubs. Bale at Spurs was a tier below WC level imo.

Kaka was almost done by the time he got to Real and the little bit that he had left he saved up for the national team. What a guy!

he was 27 and 2 years before he was BO. How was he finished ? injuries was a big problem for him yes but even fit he was lost on the pitch

Like you said, injuries. And even when fit he still didn't have that acceleration that he used to have. But I get your point about how players sometimes aren't a good fit for their teams.

Kaka was reliable in 11/12 tbh.

Kaka would have brought glories upon glories to Real Madrid but that's the trick that you have to understand people. The devil's always in the details and the line between success and mediocrity is much thinner than a lot think.

Kaka didn't have the backing of Mourinho and every time he almost made a come-back, he went back to warming the bench. His problem was more psychological. Forget about Kaka at his peak, the Messi Kaka, Kaka at real Madrid was still world class and it could've been him not Ronaldo challenging Messi on all those BD.

This is not saying that Madrid as a team didn't hinder his resurgence because as you know, the ball has to get the blessing of several super-stars before it find  its way to the net.

As I say, you cant miss what you don't experience (or in other words, ignorance is a bliss). So it doesn't matter what Kaka would have come to be if he were to be handled professionally at Madrid because this is all speculation built on a vision, not substance. A vision so vivid that you can bet dearly it could be substantiated.

You should probably get your facts right first.

Rooney wasnt moved from behind a striker to wide, he was moved for striker to wide...so Cristiano could stay in the middle because he refused to do any defending.

Javale Mcgee isn't really the NBA equivalent to Bale. Dwight Howard is a better comparison. They are both overrated "star" players, both rely on their superior athletic ability and lack any technical skill or brains.

I remember calling this whole Bale to flop and will play for United in the future.
