Actually it is worse for Schalke. Currently Augsburg are on 5th place and if Schalke lose against Köln tomorrow, they will stay on the 6th place and might even get overtaken by Dortmund and Werder in the next two matchdays.

It's just ironic that a Juventus fan is calling Bayern Buyern that's all. Juventus have done the same thing throughout their history.

jibers does have a point though Juve stopped doing this on recent years. The honor of hogging all the star players of Serie A has fallen to PSG. But I remember on reading stories on how fans rioted to stop Juve buying a Torino winger (Gigi Meroni) and the bad blood with Fiorentina after the Baggio fiasco.

Post by RealGunner Sat May 09, 2015 10:48 pm

His[Coquelin] loans were character building. In particular, a spell with Freiburg last season tested him to the limits. “Very tough,” he says, exhaling. “I didn’t get on with the manager, I was played out of position all season, left wing or right wing.”

The manager, Christian Streich, seemed down on him from day one. “I went many times to his office and said: ‘You know what? I am not asking a lot, I am just asking give me one game in the middle of the park, so you can see what I can do. Then if you are not happy with me, play someone else in that position.’ He never gave me that opportunity.”

Coming back from the mid-season break, things got worse. “We played friendly games and I was always a sub. The last game of the friendlies they were losing 5-0 at half-time against a German second division club. I came on, we scored, and lost 5-1. We had a meeting after, the whole group, and he didn’t say a word about the team who were losing 5-0, it was all about me. I went to see him and asked to go back to Arsenal. He said: ‘No, we are counting on you.’ Then I played zero games.”

Who is this scrub of a manager called Streich? Hope he gets relegated and go to prison for fraud that he is.

HT - 1.FC Köln 1:0 Schalke 04

The "Effzeh" is en route to safely stay in the Bundesliga if they cling to their lead.

@RG
Christian Streich is a manager who has to make do with very little budget and other clubs buying the club empty every season. So he needs to make sure to form a perfect team from mostly youth players every season and can't really care too much for certain players'  vanity.

If that statement were true, it would still be very dishonest by Streich.
If it is. There's usually two sides, though, and I'd probably believe a grounded manager over a young starlet if pressed.

Regarding the Bundesliga, I'm very pleased with the BMG performance.

Also pleasing me is Didi Hamann betting on a quick sacking of Pep, though I'm not convinced it'll happen.

Big crisis at Schalke!

Horst Heldt (sports director) has just fired Kevin Prince Boateng + Sidney Sam and additionally suspended Marco Höger from training until next week. Further punitive measures are pending...

LOL, in the interview, HH just said that he fired Sidney Sam because he didn't show enough positive energy. I really wonder whether he still keeps RDM then - or does anyone think he shows sufficient positive energy? Laughing
