As noted, Randy Orton was in the Northeast last night but did not make his return, despite being advertised, at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Orton was actually backstage, dressed to wrestle and ready to go but his return being delayed again was said to be a storyline decision.

Bo Dallas and Heath Slater were both backstage last night but obviously not used. Both are scheduled to be back in action soon, possibly this week if WWE tapes new content.

Bubba’s return last night was said to be a one-shot deal but WWE officials are open to bringing him back and it was noted that his status could change.

The reason he was not in the Rumble is he would have gotten a huge pop and crowd would want him to win over Reigns. That's also why Ziggler was kept of TV and Ambrose kept losing all these weeks according to Meltzer They hoped their popularity would decrease

WWE’s website has posted a teaser article for tonight’s RAW broadcast. As noted, the show will air from the WWE TV studios in Stamford, CT due to the live tapings at the XL Center in Hartford being canceled because of the blizzard. Live matches are not expected for tonight’s show. WWE posted the following teaser:

“Did Roman Reigns make it to the Nutmeg State before the snow hit? Will Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman be present to address their WrestleMania challenger face-to-face, as many presumed would happen before the storm? What of Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, who came up just a hair short of claiming the WWE World Heavyweight Title for his own in last night’s astounding Triple Threat Match against Lesnar and John Cena? Only time will tell, but as ever, the show must go on, and the answers will become clear at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network.”

We noted earlier that Lesnar was one of the few talents who made it out of Connecticut this afternoon.

Ziggler returned on Smackdown which is taped and had the reactions piped down on TV to make it sound lower. This was confirmed somewhere even before the Rumble.

Just watched RR.

If they were going to pull that shit in the RR match, they would've been better off making the GOAT WHC match the main event

I really like Reigns, but goodness it was obvious he was winning this RR. People complained loudly about Bryan, but I think Bray was the real loser here. Been in the match since the #5 spot and got eliminated in such an awful fashion. That he got eliminated is not the bad thing...it's how he went out, which is a common theme for a lot of fan anger. As with just about everything these days, WWE creative just don't execute the storylines well at all. I think a lot of decision-making is good, but ffs....they have to be better than what I just saw.
