It's not far fetched to say that Pogba is the best midfielder in the world, but it's more to current Top midfielders declining than him being so incredible. Modric and Scweinsteigger has been injured a lot, Xavi is old, Iniesta is in poor form, etc.

The only player to increase his price even when he is injured

It's been said before but Barca can buy players, they just can't register them for official competitions.

Pogba going to Barca would be a minor consolation for me, a devastated united fan.    Dread all other prospects. Even Real. So go Barca go !! 'We' need him as the replacement to Xavi/iniesta.

Loan him to Juve for a season

You can't loan out a player without registering him first, if the info BC gave is correct.

Hans it's not exactly difficult. Sign the player but agree not to let the transfer go through till January 2016.

If both clubs agreed it can and has happened, not that i believe it will as i think he'll stay with Juve.

I'd argue both but i don't think they'll get either.

well obviously they can make whatever deals they want regarding later dates, but still they can't 'sign' the player in summer, unless he's willing to forfeit professional football for half a year.

Yes they can, Italian clubs have consistently bought Brazilians in the summer and not had them join till the January and they still played for that club till January.

humm I would go the other way around. Pogba is thr superior individual talent. He can do more on its own, including win them for his team.

Verratti however can have a lot more influence on games from deep but he cant win games by himself.

Pogba is a better goalscorer but that doesn't make him a better individual talent for me given the position we're talking about. Unless you would also say Gerrard is a superior individual talent than Xavi because he's more likely to unleash a long range rocket goal. I'd rather have someone who can conduct the midfield like Verratti instead of an all-action guy like Pogba. Pogba would only work as an Iniesta replacement. Actually alongside Verratti I'd take him and it would be perfect. But if it's between the two I take Verratti everytime.

He doesn't need to be literally loaned. Barca can make a deal this summer where they already pay (some of) the money but agree that Pogba joins in January. The same practically happened with Neymar. Don't see what's the big deal.

But what's the point of that? Barca would be locking itself for a contract and Pogba has 6 months to get injured. It wouldn't benefit Barca at all to sign him over the summer, or even start making payments, before they can bring him over completely.

Also, as a rule, it's generally a bad idea to bring people over the winter break because they don't have enough time to adapt. Better to give them a pre-season to adjust, get used to the new role and country, etc, rather than being thrown straight into the fire.

Madrid should buy both Verratti and Pogba in the summer after Selling bale .

Exactly. Not to mention cup tied.

My point would be that with the transfer ban which means any 'transfer' could only refer to preagreements over a transfer in 2016, the elections coming up, any transfer rumours should be taken with a few million extra grains of salt, on top of the already oversalted stew that transfer rumours are by default.

Why would either club or player commit to such a deal now, with so many variables?
