Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
If Rollins doesn't have a persona, then what did Edge have for his solo run? The number of rated-R things he did as the "Rated R Superstar" was actually quite small, and he was better known as the "ultimate opportunist" where he exploited anyone and anything he could to get to the top... which is exactly what Rollins is doing now.
And, judging by the reactions he draws from the audience and how over he is (a fact that is undeniable), the fact that this isn't a new thing is irrelevant. Rollins isn't unique, but it doesn't matter. A combination of his in-ring ability (he puts on great matches regardless of the opponent), his character and how portrays that characters through promos and storytelling in-ring, and decent writing makes him entertaining; more so than many other guys the WWE has.
All going well, he'll only get better, too. He's going to have high-profile feuds with Orton, Lesnar and Reigns and then after that he can work with Cena, Bryan and maybe Ambrose. His stock is only going to get bigger.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
Rollins is great
'Doesn't deserve WWE championship' Well that's the whole point. He bid his time and cashed in when there was an opportunity. He gets heat because he's a scumbag. I don't want every champion to always be a textbook fighting champion
I'd say they need to make him look stronger when he's backed in to a corner now he's champ, but his character is great.
Everybody wanted to see Brock destroy him on RAW, and the way he kept slipping out of trouble and escaping after getting in Brocks face and holding the title up was f*cking hilarious

Agree with the majority here. Rollins is a fantastic heel and really appears to have all of the tools to continue to do that role justice for years to come.
I do rate his in-ring ability although maybe his moveset could be a bit more expansive, but overall he's better than a pretty big majority of the roster.
I disagree that he isn't good on the mic either. Sure his tone is a little monotonous, but that goofy cackle he has compensates for it perfectly. Nowhere near as good on the mic as some of the GOAT heels over the generations, but he's going in the right direction, I think.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
Sure Edge was a cowardly heel, but unlike Rollins, he was actually goat on the mic. Like I said, being cowardly isn't a problem.
Rollins is average on the mic, has average charisma and no persona. He's simply only supposedly good in the ring.
I mean seriously, who is 'Seth Rollins'? What makes him unique? What is his character? I don't see it. I just see an average joe. He's no different to the Miz, Ziggler, Rhodes, Del Rio etc. Anybody on the damn roster could play his role. He's easily replaceable.
Due to that I really can't take him seriously as World champion.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
Several members of the legendary Anoa'i family were very angry at the finish to the main event of WrestleMania 31 as plans were changed and Roman Reigns did not end up with the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Reigns' father, WWE Legend Sika, was said to be "looking to start a war" he was so upset. One WWE source commented to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
"Sika forgot this business is not real life, and was legit pissed at the finish and looking to start a war. A lot of the younger (family members) were rallying around Sika, but the other 45 or 50 of them talked some reason."
Another person who was around the family during WrestleMania said they were furious, mad and disappointed but not out of control. While the family came for Rikishi's Hall of Fame speech, they came more to see Reigns have his big WrestleMania Moment and win the title.

Metzler also said that they were very quiet on the finish which was planned before and notified Lesnar about it when he was re-signing. Rollins didn't know the finish till The Rock & Ronda Rousey segment and the three worked on the 'new finish.' He doesn't know when Reigns was notified him winning the belt was not happening.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
Austin vs McMahon WM32.
HHH vs Rock.
Return of the Attitude era.
HHH vs Rock.
Return of the Attitude era.
We noted over WrestleMania 31 Week that Steve Austin did not travel to Santa Clara for the festivities and this caused a lot of shock within WWE as he was expected to be there.
It turns out Austin was scheduled to fly into San Jose on the same flight that The Undertaker was on as they both live in Texas. The flight landed and Austin was not there. WWE even had an employee waiting to pick Austin up from the airport. It appears they still thought he might show up as there was a room with his name on it backstage at Levi’s Stadium until mid-week.
It was noted before that the issue appeared to be between Austin and Vince McMahon. One person close to the situation said they have never seen Vince as angry about anything else, which is saying a lot. The rift between Vince and Austin reportedly has to do with his podcast on the WWE Network and Vince not liking some aspects of it. This is likely why WWE Network is now carrying Chris Jericho’s podcast instead.
WWE also wanted Austin for the upcoming season of Tough Enough but he reportedly turned it down for an unknown reason. Some expect Austin to address his issues with WWE shortly.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
All this blood as well recently. Return of TV14.
As noted, tonight’s WWE SmackDown will feature Sheamus returning to the ring against WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan in a non-title match.
Sheamus is accused of being reckless in the match and not protecting Bryan enough. Some who saw the match live noted that Sheamus worked too reckless in some spots.
Bryan ended up busted open and needed around 7 stitches to close a cut on his forehead but the cut may have came from Barrett. Apparently there is at least some blood shown on tonight’s broadcast.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
Lol that's just sick ffs.
We noted a few weeks back how Hulk Hogan was receiving a lot of mainstream media attention after a Twitter troll asked Hogan to re-tweet a photo of his daughter but the photo was actually one of Madeleine McCann, a child who was kidnapped while on vacation in 2007. Hogan deleted that tweet but has once again been fooled by the Twitter trolls.
On Wednesday, a fan asked Hogan to re-tweet a photo of their grandfather. The photo was actually one of Josef Fritzl, a criminal who is serving a life sentence in prison for holding his children captive in a basement for decades and abusing them. Hogan tweeted this photo of Fritzl wearing a “WWE World’s Greatest Dad” t-shirt, not realizing who the man in the photo really was

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 21
Speaking of Hogan:
There were rumors this past weekend that WWE had Scott Steiner banned from the Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday night after a photo surfaced on social media that was posted backstage, instructing security to keep Steiner out with his photo included.
It turns out there was reportedly an “ugly incident” on an airplane with Hulk Hogan’s wife Jennifer. No other details are known at this time but it turned into a huge issue, leading to WWE keeping Steiner from their venues this weekend.
At the Hall of Fame on Saturday night, security were on alert at every entrance and told that if Steiner showed up, to not allow him in under any circumstances.

They were probably afraid Steiner would interrupt Kevin Nash's speech and say this.

Itami and Breeze need better finishers imo. Pretty sure they use some kick variations RVD has as standard moves for their finishers.
Heard Itami used the GTS recently.
