Re: Liverpool v Manchester City
Lovren definitely played a lot better today. I want to see if he can improve his passing in the next game. Because Sakho still plays better forward passes than him. Does it mean, we can finally rest Can I think Can really does need some rest.

another thing which I forgot to mention, there was no midfielder on the bench except young J. Williams. Add to it that, our strikers Borini, Balotelli, Lambert and Sturridhe on the bench Rodgers is crazy bia$$h sometimes

Re: Liverpool v Manchester City
Not sure why Art says Moreno was disappointing. He was a rock defensively against Zabaleta and linked up well with Phil.
and again? Moreno changed the game for us vs. Southampton when he came on and was one of our better players at Besiktas on Thursday.
It's amazing....we have now beaten Westham, Spurs, Saints and City in our last 5 games, all of which were ABOVE us in the table when we played them. Shame about the derby at the pit.
Massive game on Wednesday. Burnley are good against better teams, need to keep focus and intensity.
Well in the team. Phil, Allen, Hendo and Lallana in particular were outstanding.

Also think our substitutions were spot on (if a bit odd) and totally denied City to get any momentum for pushing for an equalizer. I expected us to be pinned back in our half last 10 mins, but we actually went close to 3-1 than they did to 2-2.
Just watched the last 15 minutes. Some amazing pressing by Can, Lallana, Sterling, Allen and Hendo. like so tireless....Can as RWB, Lallana LWB. That's the thing I like about this 3-4-3, so many players can slot in so many positions and still make it work. It's the most flexible formation I've seen
Sterling had a very good game by the way. Will be over-shadowed by other excellent displays, but he absolutely tormented City backbone with his pressing and movement.

A wing-back is pretty much a winger, someone expected to contribute in attacking play, but Moreno doesn't. Not with his passing, not with his movement, not with his dribbling. At least Markovic was trying to beat his man and play some good passes, like the chip to Lallana. I've been disappointed with Moreno in that wing-back role and definitely think it should be Ibe in his place for a couple of games at least.

Lallana
He should have had 2 goals and 3 assists in this game. lmao the guy can has fantastic movement and link up.
James, I want a GIF of the part when he does 3 turns at once keeping the ball.

goal vs. Swansea
Assist vs. Southampton (last week)
Also he's had some terrific attempts saved by oppositions keepers (Forster, Lloris, etc). Not to mention, he's been solid as a rock defensively since the system switch

Our defense had some really close calls. Hopefully Rodgers will brief the team and they will be better in the coming games.

There was some serious confusion / lack of guts when City players were cutting in from out wide. But I suppose that's always going to the weakness in the 3-4-3 that there's going to be some space between the three CBs and the two CMs.

To be fair any defence will have close calls against a team like City attacking you. When you only concede 1 goal against City (and they only have 1 shot on goal all game) you are doing something very right...especially in the PL.

Even weaker teams are likely to get/create chances, that's natural. But I'm pointing the manner in which we got exposed. It was more due to mistakes of our players than the quality of theirs.
