That doesnt take away from his quite phenomenal record(by Serie A's standards) in Italy.
Meanwhile,Higuain likely wont reach 20 goals in Serie A for a second straight year.
Cavani is a superior goal-scorer by all means.

Still, Cavani's Serie A years is still better than Higgy's so far. Cavani was a consistent 25+ goal player

Napoli under Mazzarri was built around  Cavani with its counterattack ( this explains why Hamsik is a different player now , for example ) ,    , Napoli under Benitez has a gamestyle more " socialist" and Higuain even when he doesn't score he  contributes with assists  , he  hasn't same work rate than Cavani but he is  technically better than Cavani imo.
Cavani was surely an insane goalscorer , scored more than Higuain , but this is a different Napoli for structure and I think his contribute can't be rated just for the goals. Player with great tactical intelligence  , so able to create spaces and his movements to open  the  defences. Napli always gets an upgrade in pitch because of him.

About Champions League, both were chokers ,I don't get some difference tbh

Torres once scored 33 goals in one season. Is he better than Higuain currently as well?

What happened 2 years ago doesn't count anymore.

Not sure I agree unless you can clarify this with context.

I think he means Cavani used to be better ( during his Napoli days ) but now it's not the case.

Torres has been shite for 5 years, and compared to his prime days he took a deep nose dive. Cavani still puts up decent numbers despite being played out of position most of the time

Cavani's form has been blown out of proportion since he went to PSG. He's not the machine he was at Napoli but he's really not doing so shit. I have no doubts if he moved club and got his confidence back as well as the undisputed #9 spot he'd be back to his old self within a couple of months.

Battle for Champions League Spots

Roma: 2nd-34-64-23
Remaining games: Milan, Udinese (H), Lazio and Palermo (H)
Roma has it in their hands (again). And it's theirs to throw away (again).

Lazio: 3rd- 34-63-32
Remaining games: Inter (H), Sampdoria, Roma (H), Napoli
Perhaps have the hardest of the fixtures among these three.

Napoli: 4h- 34-59-19
Remaining games: Parma, Cesena (H), Juventus, Lazio (H)
They may be four points adrift ATM, but they probably have the easiest of fixtures. Parma, Cesena (both relegated) or Juventus (champions) have nothing to play for. On the flip side, Napoli has the distraction of EL.

Roma and Inter are expected to discover their Financial Fair Play sanctions tomorrow, according to reports, with other Serie A teams affected.

UEFA has been rumoured for a while ready and imminent to punish the Italian duo for falling foul of FFP regulations, which limit a club’s spending to more sustainable means.

According to La Repubblica and the Gazzetta dello Sport, sanctions will arrive tomorrow.

La Repubblica suggest that Inter face a fin of between €6m and €8m, and the prospect of their international squad being limited to 21 players rather than 25.

The Nerazzurri are also facing the possibility of limitations in the transfer market, with their buying power linked to and constrained by their income.

Roma, meanwhile, may see their international revenue – from the Champions League and the Europa League campaigns this year– blocked as a sanction.

It is also reported by La Repubblica that other clubs could also be involved, with Milan reportedly to fall under scrutiny when they next qualify for Europe, as well as Lazio and Fiorentina.

La Repubblica also reports that tomorrow FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio will be meeting UEFA President Michel Platini to map out the plans for the recovery of Italian football.
