Liverpool vs. Newcastle

We better keep the ball coz our defense is going to be crap.

On the other hand, if we let them have the ball and have a go at our crap defense, we could counter them, which seems to be our best strength in attack, so maybe we should do that and take a 5 - 4 win.

I don't think the defence will be all that bad to be honest. Lovren has looked just fine since he was taken out of the squad (in his limited appearances since). Toure is the one I'd be most afraid of because you never know which one is going to show up -- the one that had Ronaldo in his pocket earlier in the year or the one that was playing against Arsenal. I like the guy but man sometimes he boggles the mind.

I feel confident going into this one though. Henderson limited technically...lol it's like the only technique people look for these days is dribbling. That's literally the only thing that Henderson doesn't excel at (maybe his first touch in scoring situations, but his pass reception is good). He's a very strong technical and intelligent player. I would take him over a player like Sturridge 100/100. Especially since Sturridge doesn't seem to have the brain or health to go with his 'amazing technical ability'.

I'm not totally cool with Moreno keeping his place week in week out when he's had some abysmal games.

I also wouldn't play Lucas and Allen together, there's not enough forward drive there.

But it's Newcastle at home, so we should have it in the bag anyway.

Great goal by Sterling, but he was very wasteful both in possession and in terms of chances after that.

Decent performance. Allen and Lucas were superb.

Henderson worried me a lot. His positional sense was wayward throughout the game, Which wasnt acceptable considering he had to defend Johnson and Can.

Can can't play CB, Caught out of position a number of times. We survived the customary Lovren moment, IF that isnt a penalty i dont know what is.

Sterling's finishing was absolute torrid, I guess we should pay the rest of the money who can teach how to use his left foot.

Glad Ibe got some minutes. Skrtel and Gerrard are back for Wembley!

Henderson seemed very eager to get forward and get us scoring, at times it resulted in an unbalanced midfield, but it wasn't really that bad because against this Newcastle side you can afford that.

Allen was actually good today, took ball forward lot of times and also tried to play balls in final third also and did manage to score that goal.

Lucas was also good today. Ibe looked good in patches and I think he will look better if he had anyone playing ahead of him so that the opposition defense line is little back than today because of a striker.

When I said that it was still early and he had scored as well as linked up with Coutinho/Henderson beautifully in the early going.

The reality is that he doesn't have the consistency yet to be worth that contract.
