I remember you were referring to Emery as the Spanish Allegri which is stupid because Allegri has had a great record in big games this season.
Some coaches have happened to fail at a certain club but found success in another.Emery is just another example. And there's no basis to judge him on big games considering he hasnt even taken over a big team yet.
If Juve were in Milan's position,i'd be very happy to see us hire a coach like Emery.

I called him the Spanish Allegri not in the sense that he botches it up against big teams, but in the way he sets up his team (2 DMs Laughing) reminiscent of his time at Milan (Muntari, Ambrosini, Flamini, van Bommel etc), and with regards to Milan tentative coaching job, sure you might happy seeing Emery after the nightmare that is Inzaghi, hec i would be happy to see any coach other than Inzaghi. But the point is, to really get Milan back to the way it was, and imo, for that to happen we need Conte but that is a pipe dream. Mind you, i won't be really bothered if Unai comes to Milan, but it isn't something that i would froth at, hope for the best i suppose and pray for the worst, as they say

Sevilla 3 - 0 Fiorentina.

Emery took a risk playing Vidal at right back but it really paid off in the end. Vidal's not a defender, and he was clearly uncomfortable defending one-on-one against Joaquin, however Joaquin didn't track back at all so whenever Sevilla went forward, Vidal had tons of room on that side. Both of his goals involved him arriving late in the penalty area, unchecked.

It was the same on the other side. Salah didn't want to go back, so Tremoulinas could go forward whenever he wanted. That lead to the third goal.

Fiorentina had their own chances in the first half. Fernandez missed a sitter, Salah should've scored, and Gomez had a decent chance. I thought Sevilla did a better job stifling their midfield in the second half and made more interceptions higher up the pitch.

Napoli 1 - 1 Dnipro Dnipro

While I obviously want Napoli to win, I can't help but admire the Ukrainian cinderella story going on here. Ukraine could use some good news.

Basically, Real Madrid is dragging the flag for La Liga in Europe now. I wanna believe S that Napoli would make the final but I really am having my doubts.

That picture looks suspicious :hmmm:

Digging deeper it seems that the UEFA referee "observer" was apparently from Spain, a certain Juan Antonio Fernandez Marin and the UEFA representative has a Slavic name (Jānis Mežeckis). Because of this, De Laurentis is claiming that the offside goal was as a result of a conspiracy to keep Napoli out of the final. But, De Laurentis will be De Laurentis.

Obviously, Norwegian referees are not the gold standard, wasn't there a really bad Norwegian referee that made some exceptionally bad calls?

conspiracy Laughing

Anyway Napoli will get in.
Napoli played a mediocre 1st half,  but in 2nd half it deserved to be on 3-0 , 4-0 easily.

Dnipro scored on the ONLY action created by them and besides it was on clear offside

Unfair result , basically Dnipro showed to be a team absolutely inadequate for this level , I can' t think Napoli won't get the result needed in 2nd leg  . It is enough to play as today

Stats dont suggest that.He has scored only 2 knockout goals in his entire CL career.Morata for example, has scored twice as much in ONE season.

Maybe you're trolling here but fug it, i'll take the bait.

Gomez has gone from being the 3rd best player in the world to getting subbed off at 70 minutes in every game at Viola. He could have been the greatest striker in history.

They are fatigued because they actually play in a competitive league. Put them in La Liga and they would be fighting Madrid and Barcelona for the title. Every game in serie a is like a gladiatorial battle.
