We're selling him to Porto I think, with a buy-back.

According to Whoscored Ronaldo has been outperforming Messi in the CL since joining Madrid up until this season. Rated above Messi in 09/10, 12/13, 13/14. hmm

people who in earnest keep citing whoscored ratings as their predominant source of knowledge are the second most silly thing in today's football.

A close, not distant, second.

Which is precisely the problem with rating players based solely on stats Laughing Nani's performance is averaged on 6 games and according to those 6 games he was the 3rd best player on CL. Yeah, a guy who got eliminated from the group stages was the 3rd best player of the entire tournament

Some further analysis from the whoscored.com (Opta) ratings. Relation of the best and 2nd best forward seasons in Barcelona and Real Madrid since 09-10

With Hazard firmly establishing himself as a Top 3 player this season, what next for the Belgian Genius? - Page 3 BIQKUY1

- Since 09-10 Messi has been better than Cronaldo every season.
- Cronaldo only came close of Messi 13-14 when Messi was battling injuries.
- 09-10 was the last season when Cronaldo had great overall performance, which he sacrificed for poaching goals.
- 14-15 is the first season when Barcelona has had better 2nd forward than Real Madrid.

The discussion was CL only not overall season hmm The stats show Ronaldo was better on CL in 3 seasons since 09-10 hmm

And really my point still stands. WhoScored stats are a bad way to compare players. Even a 5 year old can see something is flawed when according to WhoScored Loic Perrin is the best defender in the world and Nani had a better CL campaign than Suarez and Neymar.

Geez Florentina are building Salah a statue atm, he couldn't even get on the pitch at Chelsea. pls BC you are a better poster then that.

My count was mostly tongue in cheek but your counter logic is deeply flawed. There are a number of reasons players can fail at Chelsea and still be very good players, would you also suggest that KDB in spite of also failing there?

You are right numerous reasons players can fail for many reasons. But man i wouldn't trust anything out of Serie A, Cuadrado is the worst player i have seen in Chelsea kit since Marko marin. Salah is looking like Serie A one of better players.

Get bias out of the way, anyone should see its a toss up between Suarez, Robben, and Hazard atm.

No that would be Youtube, people who evaluate players based on 3 minutes clips.

I would actually want to hear better rating than whoscored rating, that's able to rate 1000 of players, every second of their play, every game, relatively precise scale. Now that would be the holy grail,

sadly there's no such thing.

Easy question. He is half way to becoming the best leftback in Europe with park the bus master Mourinho. Im sure by next season he will master the position.

I always wonder, why Gil posts, do other Chelsea fans cringe? Or is it more like when your weird uncle comes for a visit and you just have to smile and keep it moving?

If you think statistics are 'what actually happens on the field', I guess you're the kind of guy who'd run screaming out of the movie theater when he sees a train approaching.

You're the kind of guy who doesn't think player dribbles a player on the field, when statistic says so. A delude one.

Nope.
I merely don't conclude from reading player A has 2 dribbles and player B one that player A is 2 times better than player B Laughing

If player dribbles whole opponent XI, and creates a empty net for the team mate. If he doesn't score it doesn't matter, if he scores he's better. hmm
