Not really. If I were Enrique I would do the same, make the most out of Messi's prime, whatever 2,3,4,5 years he has left. Experience is very important, and Arda has lots of it and also decent quality. He's also quite versatile.

Not yet. But in case Iniesta gets injured before a CL SF, he's much more suited for this kind of game than some La Masia scrub like Rafinha.

Oh, so we are talking hypotheticals here. Seeing that he bags a yellow card every 30 minutes on the field, it's hypothetically more possible that he gets sent off in an important game.

Also Rafinha and Roberto are no scrubs and more or less on par with Arda.

Ridiculous argument. Barca has the worst depth of any big team by far. I guarantee you know sane Barca fan is comfortable with Sergi Roberto or Munir starting a CL final, but without Arda you're one injury/suspension away from that.

Now he was massively overpriced and he isn't an amazing player, but he was a solid backup option you desperately needed.

Considering Barca paid close to 20 millions euros for Song or Mathieu or Vermaleen, 45 millions for Arda is too much yes but far from being the worst deal because he'll actually play and be good unlike Song or Verm.
