Without Lahm they can't really play 3 at the back imo, need someone covering RB when defending. Plus Lahm is good as a poor mans Xavi with defensive ability. hmm

True that tbh. Just remembered how I used him on Fifa. Play him as the deepest mid so he can slot in at RB with Boateng moving in from RCB to CB. Good call Thumbs up As expected from a fifa veteran.

--------------Neuer------------------
-----Boateng---Benatia----Alaba
--------------Lahm-------------------
-----------------------Thiago---------
---Muller-------Goetze-----------Ribery
-------------Robben-------------------
---------------------Lewandowski-----

Thoughts? Should I email Pep with that?

Is Götze supposed to be hiding behind Robben? hmm

Gotze is not important for Pep, if Ribery was fit he wouldnt play. If costa is actually good, he will play even less

This is actually very similar to one of our main formations last season. Of course we never had those players all fit together.
Martinez might play for Benatia, Müller and Robben might switch.

I can't believe people keep harping on about this, Viva especially, when the games Pep decided to actually play Lahm at right back again 13/14 were the home loss to City, the clueless CL quarters and of course the 0:4 against Real.

Neuer
Boateng Martinez Badstuber
Costa/Lahm Alcantara Alaba Bernat
Robben Lewandowski Ribery

Can see Pep playing something like this if everyone is fit.

Pep didn't decide anything, he ran out of players. And he's got other problems. Besides getting the lineups wrong and playing half his squad out of position, let's not forget that his tactics also sucked against Real.
