Not really. I never understood Asenjo hype. His only asset was that he was the youngest GK starting for a primera division side (Valladolid), but he had litle else to show. His goal tally at Valladolid was quite bad, and while he isn't a bad GK, he isn't great either. He lacks some size and is average in many ways. Then, two very bad injuries made him go backwards.

I so dont agree with you thats its not even funny. Yes he does make some costly mistakes at times, which is the reason why De Gea took over. But he is still brilliant, and I assure you he will prove everyone wrong.

Undoubtedly his biggest test with come on Saturday. He's going to be facing the best team in the world right now at Camp Nou. Shocked

Games vs Madrid and Barcelona are obviously the best way to see his talent. Though I won't bother reading much into Saturday's game if he has a bad game because he's still only 19 and with experience he'll grow nerves and get used to it.

Pre-agreements are only legal six months before the end of a player's contract. Courtois has 27 months remaining on his current contract. Assuming this BS rumor is correct (which it is not), Madrid are in big trouble.

The rumour is from De La Morena, it's as legit as it gets. De La Morena reported the Isco and Bale deals in June last summer waaay before anyone else lol

Also he is an Atleti fan so I doubt he would break this and destabilize Atleti if it wasn't legit.

As for the "pre-agreement" I'm pretty sure everyone will deny everything said and unless you find the napkin that Flo gave Thibaut you won't find any actual contract lol

Iker's contract is up in 2016 btw

Cech has like 5 more seasons in him, and has actually been playing better than he has for some time this season(other than his recent struggles with corners which really can be blamed on Ivanovic/Terry/luiz not closing down their men. Especially when Anichebe made Luiz his girl).

Mourinho has a tough choice ahead because no way Courtois comes back just to play second string to Cech. Hell, he didnt even want to play second string to Kevin De Bench when he stole his girl and it was De Bench's girl first. Laughing

St Leaker's contract is up in 2016 though by which point he will be 35 years old. Not that old for a keeper but imo he's going to pull a Raul and just go on an adventure is some other league.

Anyway De La Morena reported this so I'm taking this rumour extremely seriously. A lot can happen in two years though so who knows.
