This is ridiculous, we all know he will leave next summer.Now they are just trying to make profit from no.10 shirt sales.

If that means no trequartista it get's even worse,even though I think Paul can play good on that position,it means we are getting a CM instead and close our mercato.

We refused 80 mil from barca this year. So anything below that is not going to happen. If he impresses in this years CL campaign he wil be sold for over 100 mil

IF there are no quality options out there for the TQ than this is a good move. Let's sign CM and LB and be done with it.

Draxler with that injury record is not worth 30+ million euros.

Pogba asked for the number, he wanted more responsibility at Juventus. We did not give him the number due to merchandising (but it will definitely sell way more shirts now).

Truth is, looks like Pogba wants to stay at Juventus. I do not think he will be leaving next year anymore. I am all for him taking the number 10, since he is clearly one of our most important players, and his hard work and perseverance deserves it.

btw Allegri said on press that Pogba won't be played as trequartista So calma the thread is about the no 10

Lol, pereyra is the first option for the trequartista role if we don't get a new quality one.

@Zamuro: I hope that what you say is true and that pogba chose this number to confirm that he wants to stay for a long time. Though, if he was Italian the probability of him staying is much much more.

I think a player of his quality is worthy of #10, even if he is not a traditional #10 in the sense of the position.

Anyways, I see too many worked-up comments about this. It does not mean he will stay beyond the season, it does not mean Juventus won't sign an actual #10 and it does not mean anything beyond Pogba changing his number and symbolically taking on a bigger role as a player, which was inevitable with the midfield departures this season.

This is Pogba's season to show himself as a world class player. The Euro is around the corner and every suitor will be looking at Pogba, the next 12 months will dictate his market value and where his career goes from here- be it at Juventus or another club.

This also just means whoever they may sign, a Vasquez, a Draxler, etc. they will not wear #10 for Juventus

He's probably leaving us soon so I see this as a bit of a stupid move tbh. So we lose 1 WC player who had an off season in Vidal, and a player in WC form in Tevez, and now our next Number 10 is probably going to be sold soon after getting the number.

We need to sort this Summer out before worrying about temporary number changes, it went from a very good Summer to a pathetic one very quickly.

Guys, Pogba wont play as AM/TQ. He was given #10 because: either he wont leave for a couple of years or they want to maximise his value. Simple as that. Juve will buy an AM, regardless. Just be patient.

Yeah, Allegri said he is more of a Mezz'ala, and that he might play in front of the defense in the future. He won't play him as a trequartista, and we are looking to either sign one or play Pereyra there.

Pogba totally deserves the number,he is our most talented player atm and is expected to carry the team this season.
So far it's totally ok, but chances are that all this move is influenced by his fat agent,the fact that Pogba asked for the number doesn't mean he will stay here forever,I think it's a win-win move for Pogba and Juve, he increases his value as being the image of our team while we sell shirts.
After a stellar season plus if he can add a great appearance on Euro 2016 do you guys really believe he will stay? C'mon,we got Vidal sold whom we were confident to stay juventino for life.

As for his playing position,he can play anywhere in midfield he knows how to score and how to defend so anywhere he will play he will do great
Allegri thinks he will play as "Pirlo" maybe in future but it would be a waste to see him try less long shots.

For me, this could be the first sign Pogba intends to stay at Juventus for a long time. From what I have seen Pogba is always extremely respectful and grateful to Juve, meaning he knows the importance of the shirt. I would be surprised if he were to take such an important number and leave the following year. With continued success, you never know, he may stay forever.

IMO he could do well as trequartista, but its unlikely Max will play him there.
