Well, you lucked out with the Bayer/Bate draw, you might just make it through. But, to progress you need an Italian manager. French managers can be brilliant but many are just crazy.

Meh, doesn't necessarily need to be any specific nationally. Remember, the 7-1 loss to United happened under Spaletti's watch and most Romanisti consider him a better coach than Rudi still.

Personally, I'll take a coach who approaches each game separately and plays to our strengths accordingly instead of just taking a broad brush tactical strategy into every game and "winging it"....doesn't work at this level. Roma need a philosophy and an identity on the continental stage and right now we have the wrong one: highly thought of whipping boys.

Fully deserved by Atalanta.
Maxi Moralez missed also an easy chance on 0-1.
Roma was out of their mind today .. felt the psychological effect after Barca loss.

He was quite young when he was on the 2006 World Cup winning team, I guess. Didn't he score the only goal against Italy until the final game.

Napoli have been on a run too. We must watch out for them. I am sure we are gonna destroy them in Turin.

This morning on the Football Show I relayed the characterization of the Napoli - Inter clash by one of Domenica Sportiva's pundits as a clash between the Romans and the Barbarians, in which Napoli were cast as the Romans.

In the same session we discussed Roma, and Phil Schoen called Garcia's tactics in Spain "suicidal". I had to agree.

I think we can all agree on that. And the loss the Atalanta was just atrocious. Dire performance.

As a result, he's now got 2 more games to save his job...if reports are to be believed. the BATE game will the be the decider. Sabatini has already said he'll stay, but then again, Sabatini doesn't have the power to fire him anyway. Pallotta is far from pleased and that's the deciding factor.

That said, we have no alternatives to Rudi at this point that can immediately replace him. I would rather not go the 2nd half of our season with a caretaker as well so I think it would be pertinent to hang onto him until the summer. Unless our form entirely disintegrates, which it hasn't yet, Rudi's still good for keeping us in a CL spot, although Juve and Milan are now breathing right down our necks.

If he gets the win with Bate, they are through so I doubt that even if he loses the next Serie A match they will sack him. But who knows.

If Napoli and Inter draw today, we'll only be 7 pts off first place hmm

But I think Napoli will win.Looking like a team of real substance.
